Toby's POV

All of us were left in shock as Jessie ran off the patio and around to the front of the house. I just couldn't believe my ears, her brother was in a accident.

"I feel really bad for Jessie." I heard my fiance Lita say.

"I need to be with her." Carmen said.

"I think that's a good idea Carmen." I said.

"Do you want me to go with you angel?" Tyler asked Carmen.

"Sure, tell mom that I'll be right back." Carmen looked at Lita.

Lita nodded in agreement as Carmen and Tyler left. Man, this is a disaster for Jessie.

Jessie's POV

I arrived at the hospital and walked up to the receptionist desk in the waiting room. "I'm here to see Max Summers." I said.

"Max Summers, he's in the operating room at the moment." The receptionist said.

"Jessie!" I heard a deep voice that made me turn around.

It was my dad, he was also with Max's wife and my nephew. Dad motioned for me to join them and I did so. I hurried over to him and he gave me a hug, my eyes started to get wet as he held me.

"D-dad, how did this happen?" I stammered.

"He was coming home from work and a truck hit him from out of nowhere." Dad explained.

"Is it bad?" I sniffed.

"I don't know yet, but we'll find out soon." He said.

I looked over at my nephew who was looking sad. His mom looked as if she was crying. I went over to my nephew and sat next to him.

"Hey Luke." I smiled at him.

"Hi aunt Jessie." He quietly said.

"How are you?" I asked him.

"Good, is my daddy gonna die?" He said.

I felt very emotional when he asked me that. I looked at his mother who was on the verge of crying, I grabbed my nephew's hands and looked him in the eyes.

"You're daddy is going to be okay sport. Trust me." I forced a smile.

"I can't loose him Jessie." My sister in law said.

"I can't either Tessa, but he's gonna be fine, I promise." I looked at her.

"I hope you're right." She said.

"This was very unexpected, today was pretty good and now it just did a huge 360!" I sighed.

"What did you do today?" Tessa asked me.

"I was at my two friend's gender reveal party." I explained.

"Oh really?" She said.

"Yeah, they just found out that they're having twins. A boy and a girl." I said.

"That's wonderful." She said.

"It is, everything was going good, but now it's all going down the drain!" I said.

About ten minutes later, Carmen and Tyler were here. I didn't expect them to come here.

"Hi Jessie." Carmen greeted me.

"Hey girl." I said. "What are you two doing here?"

"We wanted to support you." Carmen said.

"Yeah we couldn't leave you hanging." Tyler said.
