Emerald

I am tired of running in circles reliving the past and present. I smacked my hands onto the ground in frustration.

I became tired of viewing myself as a monster. I am what I am meant to be. If being a hybrid is something special as Selene says. Then I accept it.

I accept who I am.

"There you go my dear you choice your path." I hear Selene voice echos through the wind as I feel my body levitating in the air.

"What's happening?!" I screamed as I hear her giggles flowing around in the air.

"You choice to live my darling."

"Wait!" I screamed!

"Wait!" I shout as my eyes opened wide I see huge bright white lights. The room felt so cold but the wires were irritating my skin. I yank them off causing the monitor to go off.

I noticed the room is empty but it's full of beautiful flowers, cards, and balloons. I felt my throat completely dried as I held onto my throat.

I reached over for the cold glass of water that is settled along my beside. As I begin to gulp it gently I hear the room door open.

"AHHHHHHHH!" Amelia shouts in fear. I looked at her completely utterly shocked.

"You are awake! SHES AWAKE!" Amelia begins to scream with joyful tears in her eyes.

"You look horrible." She commented as I give her a death glare. "Thanks and why are you acting like I've been sleep for a long time. It's only been a day Amelia." I cough out.

Her eyes soften as she sits on my bed side. "Em you haven't been sleeping. You've been in coma for a month." Her petite body leans over to mine as she give me a warm embrace.

I slightly laugh a little while shaking my head. "I haven't been in a coma for a month." In denial I was in.

I could smell the familiar vanilla scent filling in my nose. The sparks that ran down my spine as I feel relief when his tall form stands on the door frame.

A cracked smile appeared on my face as I fell completely over heels for this man all over again.

Axel strides over to me as my desperate need to touch his hand. He crushed into me with huge tight hug as he let his tears fall gently on my shoulders.

I rub my face on his broad shoulders my wolf felt so calm and safe right now. I held onto him tightly as he squeezes my face gently. "You are my world." As he say this his hands is covered with my long hair.

Everything I've seen in his past that Selene shared with me. I wanted to protect his younger self. I have the ability to protect him right now.

"Stop worrying if I'm fine I'm going to make sure you be ok." I whispered quietly to him as he looks at me confused.

"You were the one who literally was in coma fighting for your life. You automatically wake up concern for my safety." He kisses the tip of my nose as I shut my eyes sighing in happiness.

"I really am lucky." He smiles.

His smiles brightens up the whole room. I could feel the butterflies flying around in my stomach. The smile could make a blind woman get back her vision.

"By next week you can go back to school don't worry for Luna duties or anything. You will live normal for now." Axel rubs my arms gently.

Amelia looking at the both of us with snot bubbles in her nose. Tears covering her vision as she sobs. "This is so much better than the notebook." She cries out as I pull away from Axel.

"Nothing and I mean NOTHING compares to the notebook." I look at her with a serious look.

"That's what you want to watch baby?" Axel asks me as my cheek flushes.

"Baby eh?" I asked with a smirk on my face.

Axel holds my hand ignoring the fact that Amelia is in the room.

"Emerald Stone will you do the honors of becoming my girlfriend?" I've thought I would never hear those words coming from his mouth.

"Me? Does The Axel Wright wants me to become his girlfriend!" I exaggerated and fan my face quickly.

Axel laughs as he shakes his head at me. "Of course Axel I'll be your girlfriend." As I lean in to kiss him another person barge into the room.

"You missed it you idiot!" Amelia smacks Gage chest.

Gage looks at all of us confused then he looks back at me.

"EMERALD IS AWAKE!" He shouts really loud pushing Axel and Amelia off the bed. He give me a harsh hug it felt like my bones were being destroyed.

"Give her some space guys!" Gage shouts at Amelia and Axel.

"Dude you're the one that needs to give her some space." Axel says with his thick eyebrow raise up at him.

"Sorry man." Gage murmured as he backs away from me.

"Did I hear a little birdy is awake?" Luna viola ask as she strides her way into the room. I couldn't look at her the same way as before.

She sits there everyday and watches her son get beat on by his dad. She doesn't even tries to stop it.

A fake smile appears on my face as I felt extremely uncomfortable with her in the room. Axel felt me being uncomfortable he quickly shoos everyone out of the room.

He shuts the door behind him as I pushed myself up a little. "Thank you." I whispered to him.

I will be his protection from his dad and himself.

I will be more than just his partner.

I leaned my forehead against his as I shut my eyes. "I don't want to watch any love movies by the way." I added as his fingers slowly intertwined with mines.

"I want to watch something scary." I giggle as Axel kisses my forehead.

"That's my girl." He jokes as move over a little to give him some space to lay on the bed.

"Doctor Earhart is going to come back soon to make sure everything is alright up there." Axel points at the top of my head.

I roll my eyes as I smirk. "You're right maybe everything up there is not ok. I'm just a little coo coo." I playfully push his shoulder as he kisses the side of my temple.

"Everything will be ok." Axel whispers in my ears.

Everything is calm for right now.

But the calm comes first then the storm comes.
