Emerald

A year later

I held onto our daughter tightly as I walk through the woods with a blanket covering her.

My mother use to tell me story tells of witches but she's never seen one herself. Thanks to a really old book in Axel parents house I found a small map that lead to her house.

Axel knows about our daughter and to avoid her from any danger I had to come to her.

To Eden.

The book I read spoke a lot of her. The danger she held. She blended in with the humans very well. She was just a young girl figuring out her powers.

Humans found out she was different. She wasn't a normal human they were for sure. When they went to execute she put a spell of death on them. From there on she hid herself and no one heard of her since.

Here I am in front of an old abandoned house covered in huge vines. I could see the smoke coming out of the chimney. As I clench onto Amber tightly.

I see the broken door cracked open as I slowly stepped foot in it. I see different sizes of bottles filled with different colors.

"Your kind is not allowed in this household." A very hoarse voice says as I snap my head towards the voice.

She comes out from the dark as I gasp. Her eye has a huge scar across from it, her gray messy hair all over the place, and her faded black huge dress.

Her eye is completely White.

Is she blind?

"You're not just a werewolf but you're a hybrid. Your kind is dangerous what has brought you to me." She demands as I clenched onto Amber.

I yank the blanket of my daughter her golden tan skin. I brush down her brown hair. "If there's something you can do please she's just a child." I begged her.

As Eden slowly walks over to Amber with her overgrown nails. "Ah I see. Powerful indeed." She says with a smile across her lips.

The goosebumps on my arms just grew bigger as I clenched onto her. This is very dangerous of me going by myself here.

"You are trying to conceal her from everyone else?" She asks me while slowly walking around us.

"Yes she's in danger." I cry out.

"She's far more dangerous than anything on this earth. Your daughter is a weapon to all species. She's only in danger because many people will fear her. I can conceal her powers but up until she turns eighteen years old." She explains as she pokes ambers finger with the needle.

"ABSCONDERE, ABSCONDERE!" She waves her hands all around her. The winds came into the house blowing crazy. Her candles blew out as her hair flow crazily.

"When her eighteenth birthday comes the spell will be broken!" She chants and i could see Amber moving around as if something bothered her.

After about 5 minutes The winds stop and the candles turned back on. "As for the payment for this. When she turns eighteen you need to return her to me." She trails off.

"Theres deeper things that comes along with magic than you can ever imagine. She will be confused and lost she needs me to help lead her. Think of it visiting as if she's visiting grandparent." She smirks.

I looked down at my beautiful daughter then back up at Eden.

"Ok but first I need you to sign me a promise. If you run off with her I will find you." She looks up at me.

She pulls a book full of red signatures as I looked at it confused. She pokes my finger with a needle causing my pointer finger to bleed.

I slid it across the paper as she shuts the book quick. "Be gone we do not need unwanted guesses here. You and I will keep in contact with one another." She nods her head towards me.

Something inside of me is regretting coming here and I just do not know what it is.

I quickly run off holding her as I pick my pace up seeing night sky is coming upon us. I pushed passed the branches and out of the woods.

I rushed into the house while laying Amber on the couch. Axel came over to me looking around making sure nobody's around to hear.

"Did you get the help we needed?" He whispered as I nod my head 'yes'.

"How did you even know your parents had this in their library? How long have you known." I rambled off.

As Axel looks around while holding my hand tightly. "I believe Eden is related to me somehow." He explains as I rub my forehead in confusion.

"What makes you so sure of it?" I asked as our little girl continued to sleep. Axel pulls the ancient book out while pointing at the name.

Sure enough my eyes go wide.

Right in bold lettering that I somehow missed.

EDEN WRIGHT.

"Your father kept this from you?" I asked him while looking up at him.

"I believe Eden is my father's Great Great Grandmother." Axel honestly says while shutting the book.

"There's still a lot about me that I'm figuring out myself. It's the only thing that make sense to me right now. Our daughter is half werewolf, vampire, and witch." He whispered the last part.

"My only guessing is Eden. In this books explains Eden being the most powerful witch in the universe." Axel sits down next to me.

I sigh feeling completely stressed about everything.

"We were supposed to at least try to have her live a normal life." I rubbed our daughter's hand softly. "We couldn't even have a wedding because our concern for our baby girl. For now it'll be conceal she won't be on harms way." I sighed.

"When she does turns eighteen we have to protect her at every cost." I looked into Axels eyes.

I looked back at Amber as her warm hand clenched onto my finger. "Even if it costs us our own life."

She will be forever protected our little Amber.
