Twenty-Eight

Emerald

"Wait what does it say?!" Amelia impatiently asks outside of the bathroom. Right after graduation Amelia and I had ran to the closest convenience store.

I sat on the toilet staring at the test utterly shocked. The words 'positive' on it as I could feel the sweat dripping down on my forehead.

Our family is here having a good time and toasting eachother.

"Well!" She impatiently says as I cracked the door open to let her inside. She quickly shuts the door behind her while raising an eyebrow at me.

I show her the test as she lets a really loud scream out. "Shh!" I cover her mouth in panick.

"You have to just go out there and show the whole family. This is perfect timing Axel is in a very good mood." She explains while pulling me out of the bathroom.

I nervously swallow the lump in my throat. I could feel my hands shaking as I walk in the living room.

There stand Axel mother talking it up with my mother. My grandparents speaking amongst themselves. Gage and Axel in the corner of the room cheering glasses.

"I have to speak to all of you." I say hiding the test behind me. Axel turns and looks over at me in concern.

I didn't see the signs.

I didn't get morning sickness.

"Axel doesn't know so you all will be receiving this news together." Just as I say this Auntie Nicole and Uncle Calvin walks in with Benjamin.

"What did we miss?" Auntie Nicole asks as she sets her purse down walking over to the couch.

"Emerald is announcing something." Mother assures them to take a seat.

"As I was saying this had came so sud-." I was cut off by my cousin. "Kill the suspense already." He bites his nails as saying this.

I pull the pregnancy test from my back as I show them with a smile. "I'm pregnant." I say as my cousin Benjamin literally falls and passes out.

Axel runs over to me lifting me up off the ground while spinning me around. "I'm going to be a father?" He asks me as I nod my head gently.

Our family ran as they kiss my cheek congratulating us. "Oh I'm going to be a grandmother." Mother cooed while squeezing my face.

Axel steals me from my family as he kisses my cheeks. "I love you Emerald Stone." He repeatedly says as he rubs my flat stomach.

"He's going to be a fighter just like his mother." Axel kisses my cheek as I smile while laying my head on his shoulder.

"A little family of ours." He says happily while holding my hand lightly.

"Ol' Bad wolf is going to be a dad." I joke as he playfully rolls his eyes at me. "Cupcake is going to be a mother." He smirks.

"You know when I get old this whole cupcake pet name is going to be really embarrassing." I teased him.

"No it won't ever be old." He response.

"Well how about we give the two love birds some privacy everyone. The backyard sounds nice to catch up in?" Gage asks as he comes to our rescue.

Everyone chat themselves out to the back as Axel and I stood there in silence. Axel looks at me deeply as he has the other hand placed on my stomach.

"I'll make sure you and the baby will forever be protected." He soothingly says in my ear as he pulls me close.

It fears me that we live in world full of evil. Anyone can use our child as leverage against us.

"My stomach is still small we would just have to tell our parents to keep it low with the pregnancy because anybody would want to kill me and our child." I explained.

"Honey, as much as you hate this but we would have to keep you indoors now. Even if we keep the pregnancy a secret other wolfs are able to hear the babies heartbeat." Axel explained.

"Once they hear that heartbeat they're going to want to attack." He says angrily while balling his fist into a ball.

I walk behind him while rubbing his arms up and down. His body softens when he sees me giving him a soft smile.

"When that day does come we'll be ready for now. Let's enjoy the pregnancy." I still couldn't believe that I'm having a baby especially with Axel.

"You know I'm going to be telling stories to our baby about a big bad wolf." I giggled as he nods his head wrapping his arm around my waist while laughing.

"Oh yeah I'm going to tell them a story about Wednesday Adam's." I lightly slap his arms. "You stole that from Benjamin! I'm going to kick his butt." As I softly laugh.

"Can you really blame me? I hate wearing color. I think I'm going to ask everyone if they can get everything black instead of blue or pink for the baby." I cheese hard but Axel did not looked impressed.

"No Emerald our child is wearing colors. By the way for a girl who hates colors your parents sure did cursed you the babe emerald." He padded himself on the back as he barks in laughter.

I crossed my arms as my lips stood in a straight line. "Yeah keep laughing. We'll see whose the one laughing when your sleeping on the couch." I raise an eyebrow.

Axel coughed through his laugh as he stood straight. " Couch sounds depressing." He sighs.

"I thought so." I added with a small wink towards his way. I pull his hand towards the back of the house as we both watch our family chat it up.

My mother and His mother were walking in the beautiful path. I squeezed his arm slightly.

"This is beautiful isn't." He said.

I nodded my head in agreement "it sure is beautiful."

"Now I've been to this house millions of times and nobody use the huge underground pool ever." Gage points at it in disbelief.

"Now ladies first bubblegum." He says to Amelia as she jumps around in her pink dress.

"Fiddlesticks!" She shouts as she throws herself inside of the pool. Gage laughs as he follows behind her.

Axel and I both look at eachother. "Nooo." We said in unison.

"Congratulations on your pregnancy." A voice whispered in my ear.

But not any voice.

Selene's voice.
