Dad Beat Dad

Maya woke up next to Angel hugging her protectively. Her face was buried in his chest floof as he combed through her hair. She groaned a little and looked up at Angel. She saw he was already awake. She sat up and stretched her arms as Angel did the same.

"How'd ya sleep?" Angel asked her. He wanted her to be as comfortable as possible so that she would spend more nights with him.

"Good." She said, smiling. "We haven't had a sleepover together in forever." She dramatically said.

He laughed at her child-like action and ruffled her hair. He got up off the bed and grabbed some of the clothes Maya kept in his bedroom.

"Go get dressed in the bathroom." He offered and threw the clothes to her, which she caught.

She smiled gratefully and moved to get ready in his small bathroom. When she was done, Angel walked in with his own clothes and got ready. She waited for him on his bed.

When Angel stepped out, he smiled at her. It was nice to have her with him. She was like his little sister, he liked having her with him.

When they were both done, they walked down the stairs and to the living room to see Husk, Sir Pentious, and Niffty already awake.

They were standing near a couch as they watched Charlie pace back and forth and talk to herself. She had multiple pictures of the hotel with strings and pins attached to each one hanging on the wall.

There were also many pictures of... Maya on the wall. Where did Charlie get those?

"How long has she been up?" Maya asked Husk as she went to stand next to him.

"All night, I guess." Husk replied and put his right arm around her shoulders to bring her closer.

He had a cute coffee mug that said, "Fuck Monday's" and it almost made her laugh. She wasn't surprised Husk had that.

Charlie continued to talk to herself in a panic as Vaggie finally woke up and came downstairs to see the group.

"Yikes." Angel said and Maya nodded in agreement.

"Charlie? Sweetie? You, uh, you good?" Vaggie asked her with a worried tone.

Charlie turned her attention to her girlfriend. She looked crazy. "Nope! No, not really. Haha." She turned her attention back to all her pictures and picked one up to look at it. "I've been up all night trying to figure out why the hotel isn't working!" She crushed the paper she was holding in frustration. "We've done trust falls, we've tried sharing our feelings, we only have a couple of months left before the angels come." She turned into her demon form for a second and laughed maniacally before turning back to normal.

"Maybe it's time-" Vaggie started.

"No." Charlie interrupted.

"To ask-" Vaggie continued.

"Don't say it." Charlie pleaded as she crawled on the couch and cupped Vaggie's cheeks in her hands.

"Your dad." Vaggie finished, putting down Charlie's hands.

Charlie groaned at her and Maya wondered what was so bad about asking her dad for help. She would love a dad that she could ask for help from.

"Charlie, I know you don't want to, but we need every advantage we can get." Vaggie explained.

"He let the extermination happen to begin with." Charlie argued. "They just had a meeting and said, 'go ahead and kill everyone' and" Charlie gasped. "Wait, that's it!" She exclaimed.

"Kill everyone?" Vaggie asked in confusion.

"No. He could get me a meeting with Heaven!" Charlie made her plan clear as she got up from the couch.
