Max's POV:

Max's mind reeled with disbelief as he listened to Christian's proposal, his shock mounting with each word. He couldn't believe the audacity of the man standing before him, so willing to sell out his own daughter for the sake of good press.

Never had Max cared much about the media or the press. He had always believed that his racing prowess alone was enough to capture the headlines. But now, faced with Christian's callous disregard for Charlotte's well-being, Max felt a surge of anger and frustration rise within him.

"Do we have a choice in this?" Max asked abruptly, his voice tinged with disbelief.

Christian merely laughed in response, his demeanor dismissive as he waved off Max's question. "Of course not, Max," he replied, his tone laced with arrogance. "This is for the good of the team."

Max felt a surge of indignation well up within him at Christian's callous response. How could he be so blind to the harm he was causing his own daughter?

As Christian left the room, Max turned to Charlotte, his heart heavy with the weight of their impossible situation. He knew that Charlotte would have to make the decision whether to tell her father the truth or go along with the charade.

But as he looked into her eyes, Max couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. He had known about Charlotte's relationship with Lewis, and yet he had remained silent, allowing her to navigate this tangled web of deceit alone.

With a heavy sigh, Max lightly kissed Charlotte on the head, a silent gesture of support amidst the chaos of their situation. "See you later, girlfriend," he joked, trying to inject some levity into the tense atmosphere.

As he left the room, Max couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered within him. He wondered how this fake relationship would affect their dynamic, and if Charlotte would ever find the courage to tell her father the truth.
