Well, I had this amazing teacher in high school. His name was Joe Sullivan. He was my senior English teacher for Writing workshop. It was a semester course that came right after taking Short Fiction. I enjoyed Writing workshop better. This teacher, Mr. Sullivan was an amazing teacher. He taught us to open that writer's vein and let the story flow. We had an assignment called "Nobody asked me but" and we had a timed period during class that we had to introduce our thoughts and then show perspective about those thoughts. I deemed it fun and fascinating as everyone's work was nowhere near the same. This is what introduced me to writing. I will never forget this man, his smile or laugh. Before he became a teacher; he used to write the sports column for our local newspaper. He coached girl's softball and basketball as even a driver's ed teacher. I was not lucky enough to have him as my driver's ed teacher. He was a funny man who always made me laugh, hell I probably would have crashed the car or peed myself from laughing. This man always had good stories. Joe Sullivan was such a true inspiration. I was lucky as he taught me so much. So much in fact that my teenager enjoys writing as much as I do. So here I say "nobody asked me but" this very time, in this moment sucks. I will explain my story later as I go, but I will tell you without a doubt what you are reading is 100% nonfiction. This writing piece is dedicated to Mr. Joe Sullivan, I hope you are reading this over my shoulder.
