Migration

Hiccup was copying notes from the dragon eye when the door to his hut burst open by a strong kick. Hiccup startled accidentally scribbling something in a swiggle line. He groans annoyed but didn't have time to reprimand the one who disturbed him before they jumped on his back knocking him from his chair.

"Hiccup!" The boy looks at whoever knocked the air out of his lungs not worried they were an enemy since Tooth-less didn't blast them when they entered.

Hiccup sees his twin brother Kai looking down at him with the biggest grin ever.

"Hiccup I got the coolest news ever and your going to love it!" Kai exclaims. "Like I would love you to get off me and let me up?" Hiccup asks sarcastically.

Kai does so pulling Hiccup to his feet easily.

"Hiccup you are not going to believe it! The coolest thing ever is going to happen tomorrow night!" Kai states. Amused Hiccup tips his head to the side slightly smiling. "I think despite being twins we have very different ideas of fun," Hiccup said and Kai scoffs.

"Okay one you are very unappreciative of how much begging, cuddling, and kissing I had to do to get Zane agreeing to do a mountain size ice slide and then some," Kai began as Hiccup rolls his eyes at the memory because their cheers of fun caused a avalanche.

"Two this is going to be awesome because it has to do with your favourite thing in the world! Dragons!" Okay now Hiccup was interested and he doesn't hide it.

"Go on," he said making the hand motion. Grinning eagerly Kai goes on to explain it.

"Okay it is super rare and hasn't happened in almost thirty years, but tomorrow night there's going to be an elemental dragon migration! And Sensei Wu mapped the route they're taking and found out they'll be skipping over Ninjago, but they're going over an island here in the archipelago! And because I am so awesome I get to bring you and dad along for it!" Kai explains excited.

Hiccup is excited too. Dragons are a common ground both of them have even if Hiccup is more enthusiastic about them. Elemental dragons are something Hiccup has been really interested in since he saw first Ultra dragon.

According to Sensei Wu elemental dragons are extremely rare in Ninjago. Not because they are an endangered species, but because they prefer dwelling in places humans normally are unable to find.

"A elemental dragon migration?" Hiccup and Kai look to the door and saw Fish-legs standing there also excited at the news. He probably came hearing Kai's loud arrival and came to check on Hiccup.

Before he could get too excited though Kai cuts him off. "Hold your horses Fish-Face. This is a family invite only," Kai quickly said and Fish-legs face drops.

"What? Why?" He questions obviously angry at not having a chance to study new dragons.

"Because an elemental dragon migration is exclusive to elemental masters. All of the elemental masters powers came from the dragons originally. There has always been a dragon before a master and so according to Wu there's a tradition that to give thanks for our powers the current Masters hold a ceremony as a way of thanking the dragons. We're allowed to only invite blood family to this thing," Kai looks at Hiccup.

"I've already invited dad and he says he's coming along. I mostly think he wants to scare the guys again," Kai explains.

"That is so unfair! Think of the knowledge!" Fish-legs exclaims.

"Knowledge that Hiccup can happily bring back for you. You just won't get to witness it," Kai responds taking pleasure in Fish-legs suffering. Hiccup on the other hand is still super excited. This was going to be so cool!
