After everyone got over the shock of this development Oswald showed them back towards where he had made a home for himself out of boat parts that had been shipwrecked over the years on the island.

"Sorry for the mess it's been awhile since I had guests..... or people," he adds as an after thought.

Everyone was looking at each other unsure what to do or say, but Hiccup noticed Oswald limping. "Uh Oswald? You doing good with that limp?" Hiccup asks worried. "Oh I'm fine, some Grim Gnashers got a lucky shot on me," Oswald explains opening the door of his home. It was honestly pretty impressive with a ladder that lead to a man made ledge above for keeping watch, and was big as Oswald built the outside around a deep cave to give himself more living space. The walls were covered in notes and writings with a foreign dragon on them but it looked sharp class.

"Question why are those dragons following you all around? They don't look sick," Oswald questions pointing to the riders dragons who were all looking at Oswald curiously.

Everyone looks at each other unsure where they should start with that. "Uh Oswald. Why are you here? Last we heard about what happened to you it was that Traitor Johan fed you to a pack of sculdrons after stealing your notes," Hiccup questions. The man frowns his gaze going stormy.

"Eh that darn traitor. Well you see kids while I was exploring the caverns of my island like a good chief does I discovered the legendary king of dragons! It was giant! It was so big and large I wasn't even sure what to do so I left it in the caverns, but I kept coming back to study it and poured over the legends of the King of Dragons. Eventually I realised something. The reason why my island was always spared from dragon raids unlike the other islands wasn't just because they feared the Beserker might! But also because the king of dragons must have been telling them to stay away. Well after that I started to worry. Dragons always fight for dominance, what if another king of dragons was out there and would try? And my island would be the battle grounds for it? Or what if I could find a way to tame that dragon and have it spread its influence over the entire archipelago! Than the Beserker tribe would be hailed as heroes!" Oswald explains his story while moving his hands around and pointing at some of his wall writings.

"Okay time out for the non Viking members. What exactly is the king of dragons?" Kai questions his brother. "Supposedly the king of dragons was a dragon that could control dragons with its mind which is different to the Red Death. They controlled dragons through fear," Hiccup explains.

"And on my journey it lead to me finding more knowledge about Vanaheim! I even found distant mentions of the Sentinels. I was convinced that Vanaheim was secretly where the true king of dragons resided and the one in my island was just a prince of dragons or something. Or it might have been a princess since I did find an egg down there too," Oswald mentions.

"Wait what?" Snot-Lout and Kai question looking at each other. Neither of them found an egg when they were in the caverns.

"Anyway yeah when I left on my voyage to find the island I saw that no good scoundrel and decided to see if he had anything useful to trade with. I was so excited about my findings and my plan I told that son of Loki. Next thing I know I was pushed over his boat and left for dead in the middle of the ocean right as a pack of scaldron swam by," Oswald explains.

"But how did you end up on Vanaheim?" Fish-legs questions.

"Well a pack of sculdrons happened to pass by so I grabbed onto one of them. In hindsight probably not the smartest thing to do, but it turns out I grabbed onto a sick one that had travelled here to die. Imagine my excitement when I found the island! Or the giant dragon skeleton!" Oswald exclaims.

Everyone glances at one another. "Excited yeah," Hiccup said slowly.

"Anywho I've been here ever since. Tried leaving a few times to get back to Dagger, but those sentinels. They are absolutely harmless and eat nothing but this delicious fruit that grows on the island, but they don't let anyone leave. Even though I help them out with the Gnashers," Oswald frowns.
