How The Ninja Got Together

It was soon after the tournament of elements and admittedly it started out badly.

Kai and Skylar had broken up after a month of dating. Skylar was too busy with her noodle empire and Kai being a ninja. They agreed to stay friends but still Kai was put out by it. He had really liked Skylar, so to distract himself he focused on the drama of the other ninja. He used to have a crush on several of his teammates at some point in time, but never acted on them for various reasons. Jay loved his sister, Zane always seemed uncomfortable with the idea of romance, and Cole ended up fighting for Nya too.

But the whole fighting for Nya thing has changed and with it plenty of gossip.

Cole and Jay were seething. They didn't voice it, but Kai was sure of it under those smiles. Nya had been stringing them along for almost a year now and she just decided she didn't like either of them. Like they get it, if she doesn't like them she doesn't like them, but she strung their hopes along for a year! Made the two fight like enemies when they used to be as thick as thieves.

Kai admits he was mad at her for that. Cole and Jay were both great guys Kai would love to be on the receiving end on of their endless love. Still she is his sister so he doesn't voice these thoughts.

The two elemental masters were being totally petty and were really angry about the whole thing too. They definitely wanted to get back at her where it hurt. Answer to that problem?

They decided to fake date each other to bruise her ego. They took it one step further though when they didn't get much of a reaction out of Nya "accidentally" catching them on a date. She didn't react at all! They went as far as kissing to do it!

Nya told Kai about how she thought they made a cute couple but Kai had rolled his eyes and made a bet on how long it would last.

Cole and Jay obviously were upset by Nya's lack of reaction or anger.

They asked Kai out. Her big brother; the person she is closest too above anyone else.

And Kai said yes.

Kai was going through a rebound period and he thought he could get a few free meals out of it so that's why he said yes. He didn't really expect anything to come out of it since their plan was totally obvious what the two were planning. The three of them went on a few "dates". Nothing too fancy really just places they all liked. For example they went to a Borg tower tour for Jay, visited a dance club for Kai, and went to Chen's noodle house for Cole.

"How was Chen's noodles not ruined for you after serving in their factory as a prisoner?" Kai questions Cole slapping his hand when he tried stealing food off his plate.

"I did more eating than working. Plus it gave me more appreciation for the process of making delicious food," Cole smiles happily grabbing more food from the conveyer belt.

"I think I just chipped my tooth," Jay said after he bit on something in the food pulling it out to reveal an earring that was shaped like a nail. "Hey that's Tox's earring. She let me borrow it to try picking the locks and I dropped it in the food," Cole explains fondly. "Why did we end up with the stuff you made? We're probably going to get food poisoning now," Jay complains much to Cole's offence. "Waiter! There was an earring in our noodles!" Kai calls out.

Skylar was the one to approach them and looks at them all amused. "Is an expensive earring? Because then you gotta pay for that with your meal," Skylar said and looks them over. "What are you doing?" She questions.

"Jay and Cole are pissed at Nya so they're fake dating me to make her jealous," Kai answers bluntly. Cole almost choked on his food and Jay was nearly rendered speechless. Enfaces on nearly.
