Alone Or Lonely?

A TWIST IN THE TALE!

Night seemed shorter and Mira's eagerness to rise up from bed longer and longer each minute ever since the Sun too had shown up!

Rushing up for college was not a concern that day infact visit to college was not even planned! Even then Mira's enthusiasm in getting up early clearly stated that she simply had something up her sleeve. After a hot and rejuvenating shower, dressed in a simple floral print dress Mira sprinted her way through the hallway and onto the breakfast table.

"Good morning folks, some special American pancakes up for brunch today!"said her mother excitedly. Mira and her dad simply gave each other bewildered gazes as they seated themselves on each side of the table. This was after a long time that brunch menu literally had something out of the box! Cleary, the Mathur household routine was transforming. Nevertheless, it remained to be seen whether this transformation was gradual or just because of a small piece of news of the recent past!!!

The shops in the neighborhood had opened up too, traffic on the road was also showing a boost and Mira had been waiting for about half an hour in a nearby café but her much awaited visitor had not shown up yet. Slowly, her temper showed an increment and her face signs of what looked like frustration!! Just about when her rising temper was about to reach its peak, Rina entered the café. Mira and Rina had planned upon a short visit to a nearby mall to buy any last minute stuff that they might need for their vacation. Mira's heating temper was soon waivered off by the chilling sips of cold coffee that they chose to have before venturing out from the café.

The best way to pass time, indeed when you have lots of it.... is to indulge yourself in anything that can best kill your time and what better than last minute shopping for an exquisite vacation! You have tons of stuff in front of your eyes, and not less than tons of cash in your hand but your mind is still puzzled about making a choice from the many available within your reach! The girls too showed some similar syndromes since the past three hours that they spent browsing things through the mall. But later as though even the mall showed some mercy on these over enthusiasts, the girls finally traced out a few stuff that they could buy. It was about to be lunch time and so the girls hurried towards the cash counter to make the required transactions and soon headed for their respective addresses.

Mira was busy checking her checklist and adding up the stuff she bought at the mall, after lunch. She did not want to miss upon even the slightest thing! Mira was so engrossed in her work that she had no account of how the time swiftly passed by and the evening sky slowly began to hover the ground. Her mother too provided for a good helping hand!

Dressed in casuals, she on the lead with her traveler bag following close by, were all set to bid goodbye to the family and take up this new expedition. The dinner for that night was perfectly planned up in the night sky among the clouds! Her father showed up just in time to bid her farewell as she was leaving for the Airport.

It was past seven thirty in the evening and the road to the airport did not have much of traffic, so Mira's cab managed to reach the airport well in advance. Rina too had managed to beat the clock as she made it to the airport. Adrenaline rush for making it to the airport in time, for any of your trips is unspoken but it surely goes in for a toss when you have to keep tranquilizing it as you patiently wait in there, just to hear that one announcement!

But the two girls did not give up so soon. They kept roaming around the airport, browsing through the Duty Free Shops, snacking around some stores looking out for munching and time seemed to steadily pass by. Rina did not initiate much of a talk and constantly kept on fidgeting with her phone which Mira certainly felt weird but then she thought Rina might just be saving it all up for the upcoming Big week!!

Finally the much awaited announcement was made and both the girls headed to board their flight. The other winners of this big vacation were also in the same flight but of course neither Mira nor Rina were much of friends with them so...!!!
