Rina was shocked at the horrid site that she witnessed. She immediately hurried to get aid.
Later she along with Sammy rushed her to a hospital.
.............................................................It was evening and they had a late night flight. Packing stuff and carrying along a big bundle of memories they checked out from the hotel. Sameer like a true gentleman towed along the luggage with the ladies heading him. Rina was pretty swift in her pace but somehow Mira looked a bit dizzy. She looked lost in her own world unaware of the happenings around her. They quietly boarded their flight. Even on board, nobody seemed like to indulge in any real talk. It looked like a hurricane had hit them and transformed these humans into lifeless mannequins.
It was midnight. Mira swivelled her arm rest to adjust it in the right position. Slowly opening her eyes and gaining consciousness she looked around and was pretty astonished to track herself down straightaway in mid air! She intervened into Rina's peaceful siesta thereby waking her up,
" Ah ! My head feels a little heavy." she exclaimed.
Rina slowly opened up,
" Rina, when did we exactly board? And why am I not able to recollect all of it?" she asked being slightly paranoid.
" That's because you haven't had your sleep. Sweet heart please sleep!" she said casually not even bothering to open her eyes.
Mira budged her a little more, so that she could break Rina's sleep.
" What is it Miru?"she said getting a bit frustrated." Please sleep and let me sleep."
" It's serious Ri! I am literally not able to recollect anything and most importantly why did we leave before checking on him even once?" she asked in eager anticipation of some solid answers.
After thinking for a short while, Ri said
"Miru dear that may be because you had fallen down and due to shock you've blanked out."Looking at Mira it was difficult to say whether she was actually satisfied by her explanation or not. But then retaliation also seemed a bit out of question in mid air! So she silently sat on her seat, wrapped in a thick blanket as the temperature had dropped to single digits. She sat facing the other side towards the window, gasping the darkness that lay in front of her eyesight and somewhere also in her mind.
A lot of questions were already buzzing in her mind. To top that now she had a recent addition
What exactly had happened to her?
Time finally passed by and they made it to their destination. After a long, tiresome flight and finally a safe landing at the airport all of them were more than eager to gatecrash their homes and take some rest. However Mira seemed a bit aloof, as though lost in her own world trying her best to reach the shore.
The three picked up their stuff and made a cab. Sameer was dropped near his gate and then the two ladies headed their way to their own homes.
"Miru, don't you think the trip was great? We had a lot of fun didn't we?" asked Rina cheerfully." We? Ohh you mean you and Sammy! Yeah, I am sure you must have had fun."
Rina was slightly taken aback.Still maintaining as calm a tone as possible she continued.
" Yes Mira, we indeed had a lot of fun, the entire credit goes to you! But I was talking about you. I am sure you too might have enjoyed yourself." she exclaimed.
" Me! Yes I had fun. But then you guys ruined it."
" What do you mean?"she asked annoyed.
Mira was not calm anymore. The thought of Kabir had literally boiled her from within. The calm cat had now transformed into a somewhat ferocious tigress with such pace as though it never was the cat, that it seemed!
" Yes, you isolated me. But still I had managed to find solace, I had found my piece of fun in this trip, I had found someone I had since long been craving for, but only because of you guys I have lost him."
" No Mira, you are getting it all wrong!" she pleaded.
" Just shut up! It's only because of you that I have returned to this hell through the same way by which I had departed. Why do you people always do this? Why is it always me who is the loser? You people are always used to getting things done your own way, you have literally never even bothered to know what I have wanted. It has always been about you, you and only you. I was never in the picture nor will I ever be in the picture...."
She could have went on for minutes but then she looked around and realised that the place was not right and besides her home had arrived. She composed herself, took a deep breath got out of the cab picked up her stuff and without even turning back headed straight home. No good bye, no waving of the hand, no exchange of pleasantries just silence mere silence was what that remained in between the two hearts.
One had poured out all that was simmering within it since quite long. It was hurt and part of it slowly thrust itself towards depression. But somewhere it had now got the courage to stand on the podium and take charge of its own self.
While the other remained unaware of the changes that took place within the first one. It was helpless and simply tried to strengthen itself to sustain this
