Friday Night Smackdown...

Before the Fastlane premium live event the following night, WWE was in St. Louis, Missouri for Smackdown. The challengers for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso, were advertised for the show along with the Judgment Day.

The show began with the ongoing feud between LA Knight and John Cena against the Bloodline. A tag team match was scheduled for Fastlane, but LA Knight wanted a match with Jimmy Uso tonight.

Jimmy accepted the challenge, but Paul Heyman said he would have to speak to the Tribal Chief before it could be made official. The fans booed as the Bloodline retreated up the stage.

From there, the show cut to backstage. The Judgment Day was entering the arena with all their gold. They stopped when JD McDonagh came into frame. He fist-bumped Finn, but Pierce wasn't happy to see him.

"Are you serious? Why is he here?"

Rhea put a hand on his bicep. "He's here because I told him to be. We're here for a reason. Remember?"

After a beat, he nodded.

"Alright."

The faction continued to walk into the arena.

After a tag team match where Charlotte Flair and Asuka defeated Damage CTRL, the Bloodline was backstage. Heyman still argued with Jimmy about the match with LA Knight.

"I cannot authorize the match without the blessing of the Tribal Chief."

"OG, the Tribal Chief gots to be here to authorize. He ain't never here." Jimmy countered. "I'm here. You gotta be here to ma—you left the door open?"

Solo and Heyman were confused. They walked into the Bloodline locker room and saw its occupants. The Judgment Day made themselves at home in the other faction's locker room, sitting on the couches and chairs. Jimmy crossed his arms.

"Looks like y'all in the wrong locker room, huh?"

Finn smiled and shook his head. "Nah. We're exactly where we're supposed to be."

The tension quickly rose as the Bloodline approached them. The Judgment Day stood up and stood face-to-face with Jimmy and Solo. Rhea then spoke up.

"Everybody out except JP. We need to have a little chat with Mr. Heyman."

Finn, JD, and Jimmy filtered out, but Priest and Solo continued to stare each other down.

"Priest, we'll be fine." Ripley told him.

Damian gave one last look to Sikoa before leaving the locker room. The Wiseman dismissed Solo as well, leaving him with Pierce and Ripley.

"Let's talk." Rhea said.

Heyman nodded. They got down to business.

Later in the show, after another tag team match that pitted the LWO against Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits, the focus was back inside the Bloodline's locker room. Ripley and Pierce sat across from Paul Heyman, who was in deep thought.
