Money in the Bank...
Y/N, Gionna, and every other superstar involved in tonight's show just got out of the call time meeting. With everyone getting their plans for the night, Y/N and Gionna had an agreement in place that they wouldn't let each other know the outcomes of their respective matches beforehand.
Of course it would be really easy to ask another participant in the match the winners of the ladder matches. But why spoil the surprise?
If either Y/N or Gionna happened to win the briefcase, it would be monumental. So they were just gonna let the night play out.
Currently the pair are in catering. Gionna with a cup of coffee in hand and Y/N fueling up with some food.
"Oh shit!" Gionna exclaims. Y/N looks to her as her attention is focused on her phone.
"What's up?"
"I'm supposed to be in an UpUpDownDown video. Austin (Xavier Woods) just let me know they're about to start filming." She explains.
Y/N nods. "Oh...that's cool. Have fun."
"You should come with. I know you game." Gionna offers.
"I guess. As long as it's cool with Austin."
"It will be. Now c'mon and start thinking of a nickname." Gionna stands up and pulls Y/N up by the hand. The two make their way to the area where the video is being filmed.
Austin is there and he and Y/N quickly become friends. Gionna asks if her boyfriend can be in the video and the creator of the channel has no problem with it.
However, he couldn't partake in the video because the amount of participants was equal. Y/N would be a spectator and was let known by Austin that he was always welcome on the channel to participate.
The video being filmed was a WWE 2K22 tournament. The winner would become the new UpUpDownDown champion.
The superstars involved included Liv Morgan, Kofi Kingston, AJ Styles, Shayna Baeszler, Seth Rollins, Matt Riddle, Becky Lynch, and The Miz.
"Welcome to UpUpDownDown! I am your host Austin Creed and today we have a tournament for the UpUpDownDown championship!"
The host introduces the competitors involved and the competition is about to begin.
"However, before we start...we have a new face to UpUpDownDown." He pauses for a moment for dramatic effect. "Ladies and gentlemen please welcome...Jordan Pierce!"
Jordan steps into the camera to cheers, mostly from Liv, and some playful boos from his peers.
"Jordan, welcome to the channel my man." Xavier greets.
"Thanks for having me. I'm a big fan."
Xavier then turns to the camera. "Now Jordan won't be competing for the UpUpDownDown championship today, but he's here to scout the competition."
"The new champion may not be safe for long." Jordan states. The statement garners more reactions from the competitors.
"Now Jordan, on the channel we all have nicknames. You got one?" The host asks. Jordan thinks for a second before answering.
"The Silver Slugger." Jordan pretends to toss a ball up and hit it with a bat. Putting his hand above his eyes to see how far the imaginary ball went. Drawing more reactions from the crowd.
"There you have it. The Silver Slugger will be keeping an eye on today's tournament. But without further ado, let's crown a new champion!"
