"You what?!" Jason yelled. He was seconds away from lunging at Simon.

"I asked Madame Miranda to care for the little Devil. I don't see the problem." Simon shrugged, holding his hands up as a surrender to Jason's anger and bewilderment.

"Dude, what were you thinking?! We're not cut out to care for him. Also, what makes you think he wants to come with us..."

"Why not? I don't see the problem. He looks so scared of nature despite being here for who knows how long."

"Look, I know you have some sympathy, but from what I've seen, he's dangerous!"

"You sure? He's hissing at a puddle." Simon snickered as he pointing at Shifty. Jason looked back and saw Shifty being cautious of a rippling puddle, circling it and hissing at it. When a droplet of water dripped from the roof of the cave and fell into the puddle, Shifty jumped up and scattered behind a rock when it rippled again.

Jason sighed, "That's obviously a facade. Who gets scared of a ripple in the water?"

"Dude, why're you so hostile?"

"Because he's dangerous. Who knows what he could do if we brought him into our home."

"Hey, Shifty's not dangerous, you meanie!"

"And how do you know that, you little shi-ah." Jason stopped his sentence as laid eyes on the little girl.

Jason pointed at her, "Is this..."

"The little girl we were searching for? Yeah. It turns out our "kidnapper" actually saved her from being mauled by a bear." Simon crossed his arms with a smug grin.

Jason was silent as he looked back at Shifty. The being was chasing his own scaly tail, tripping over a rock in the process, causing him to fall on the ground with a small whine.

Jason sighed as he facepalmed, "Okay, fine. He can stay with us, but you're taking responsibility for everything he needs."

"Roger. Now, let's get out of here. We've been here for way too long."

The little girl nodded, skipping over to Shifty.

"Shifty!"

The creature reacted to the call, looking at the little girl with his sparkling pink eyes.

She held out her hand towards the mutant, "Let's go to our homes!"

Without understanding any of the girl's words, Shifty just took her hand as he stood up. He was hunched over a little as the little girl lead the mutant out the sparkling cave.

It didn't take long to find the exit to this forest. They followed the craters that Simon and Shifty left beforehand, and then just followed the small path the rest of the way.

Upon exiting out of the forest, a paparazzi was waiting for them. They snapped pictures of the M.H.A Elites, Shifty, and Lucy.

The mutant looked frightened by the flashing lights, flinching and whimpering whenever they flashed. Not only that, the sudden crowd of people overwhelmed him. The mutant crouched back down on all-fours, and he slithered behind Jason.

The smoker sighed, "Alright, you jackasses. We got the girl, so you can leave us alone."

"What took you guys so long?"

"Where was she?"

"What is that weird thing being you?"

The crowd of people erupted with questions, pissing the smoke elite off.
