Chapter 7: Court date

When Jafar and Cindy got to the court house where Natsu was waiting for them. He hugged his elder sister before he grabbed his daughter from her and the four of them went in as they went into the court room. Cindy and Jafar went behind where Natsu was as the judge came into the court room. Once the Judge told them to sit down they all sat down before the Judge spoke about the case in front of them. "We're here today for the custody of Miss Nami Otawa, it seems that this was filed due to the father Natsu Otawa, taken the daughter away from the mother Linda Otawa after a divorce was made between the two of them. Mrs. Otawa you're the one who called for this court to happen. May I ask what makes what he had done wrong?"

Linda stood up and gave an innocent sweet smile to the male Judge. "Well you see your honor, my now ex husband is always so busy. He can't take care of our daughter. That's what I do. I take care of our daughter and make sure she is fed, bathed and kept up with. He has no involvement in her life, so with that being said he shouldn't have any involvement in her life."

He nodded his head before he looked to Natsu. "And you Mr. Otawa, what are your thoughts on this?"

Natsu got up holding his daughter who had woken up. "Your honor if I am to be honest here. The fact that my ex-wife has done this after she filed the divorce because she cheated on me while I worked makes me concerned about my daughters up keeping. I don't know what happens at home when I'm gone, it's why after I signed that divorce paper that I took Nami and her things to my elder sister who I know I can count on to watch over my baby daughter."

"Is your sister here today?" The judge asked He nodded his head as he nudged back behind him. "The white haired female behind me is my sister."

"Miss if you will come up to where your brother is for a moment." The judge asked

Cindy got up and she went beside her brother placing a hand on his shoulder. "Yes your honor?"

"State your name and your view on this." The Judge asked

"Very well, My name is Cindy Otawa, My view on this is very clear. Linda just wants a way to still get my brother's hard earned money when she has no income. She hasn't ever worked a day in her life. She even told me the night of their wedding years ago that she was thankful to marry someone as ignorant and rich as my brother. Otherwise she would have been stuck being homeless-which is apparently something she can't bare to be. My brother and I have always been on good terms with one another, he tells me everything that concerns him. Especially at home with his now ex-wife and his daughter, he knew something was up but he didn't expect cheating since he was doing his best to be a good husband, which he was. He always came to me when it came to advice like any good younger sibling would do and I'd always give him the advice he wanted to try to make things work. What made him crack was knowing that the woman he full hardheartedly loved and cared for was cheating on him." Cindy said before she looked to the left to see that the male beside Linda was Judar

"And I would like to make mention that the raven haired male beside Linda is the male that she had managed to cheat on my brother with. He cannot be trusted to keep thing strictly business. When I went over to give Linda a piece of my mind after placing my little brother back together he was there with her. He seemed to have known her for a while. I also would like to mention the Saturday that Natsu came back home with Nami, Nami was underweight, beyond tired and she smelled like she hadn't bathed in over a month if that. I took it within my own might to make sure to change that as much as I could. Especially since ninety five percent of Nami's clothes were stained and dirty. Linda shouldn't have Nami if she can't take care of her properly. As a teacher at the local high school I see this as child neglect and I would be highly upset if my niece goes to a woman that doesn't deserve her."

"Thank you for that Miss Otawa. Mrs. Otawa if you cannot come up with a stable, safe home for your daughter she will stay with your ex-husband. You will be given three whole months to come up with a stable place for your daughter and yourself to live in that is CPS approved. If you cannot then your daughter will stay where it is with your ex-husband and his elder sister. Court is dismissed."
