[COMPLETE]Nervous break down [Ja'far modern love story]

Chapter 12: Three months later...

Three months later the lot of them went back to court, Cindy still couldn't talk-so she wrote something for her brother to read and what to show as he read it. In her time off she had managed to get into law and figure out the right thing to do and how to keep Linda from ever getting anywhere close to Nami, Natsu or her home. The judge came around and they stood up before being told to sit down again. When the judge saw it was Linda and Natsu's case again he sighed and looked to Linda.

"It's been three months have you had a stable income of work in that time?"

"Uh-no, why should I? I'm a lady, and I don't work. That'd get my nails dirty and chipped. My boyfriend takes care of that." Linda said as she pointed to Judar who was right beside her.

The judge then looked to Natsu and Cindy. "A lot can happen in three months-I must ask Cindy Ottawa to speak on the behalf of Natsu."

Natsu frowned before he spoke up. "I apologize for this but my elder sister cannot speak-you see the day of the ruling for my daughter Linda went against what was said, she and the male beside her waited and ganged up on my elder sister property where I am now staying as well with my daughter. The male beside her had not only kicked my sister down but strangled her as well-due to how fragile and nimble the bones that Cindy has, she's lost her voice. Being that I am a doctor I have tried to figure out a way for my sister to get her voice back-but there isn't without force that would hurt her." Natsu said shaking his head.

"Next would be a few days after that, the male followed my sister and her boyfriend to where they work at the local high school and tried to shatter the windows of the car that her boyfriend drove in right where my daughter sat. Thankfully that time they weren't harmed-it wasn't until the car was parked in the parking lot by my sister's house that the glass shattered when he hit the glass. My daughter was safe thanks to my sisters quick thinking-but my sister ended up with glass in her legs and arms. Not to mention she had bruises from that mad man trying to grab her through the broken door window. For the first month Cindy was out of commission because of the damage that was done to her." Natsu said sadly

"What purpose would they have harmed your sister so much?"

"In my opinion? She's seen as a threat to them because of how smart she is and how protective she is towards me. Not to mention she's always around my child-her niece. Cindy takes family rather seriously and I'm the only thing she has left of our family-she and I made a promise and Linda knows that. Linda knows that as long as Cindy's alive that promise will always be there."

"And what promise would that be?"

"Cindy had promised me that as long as she'd live she'd always protect family-she'd sacrifice everything and anything to make sure that her family is safe."

The judge was quiet before he looked at Natsu once more. "That's a lot you've said against the duo beside you-what proof do you have?"

Cindy got up and she took the folder she had beside her with her, she then gave it to the judge as she tried to talk-but nothing came out of her. The judge realized then that Cindy really had gone mute. The judge went over the papers in the folder just to see what they had against Linda and Jafar. The first were pictures, the first page was of Judar kicking Cindy down as Linda was glaring at Cindy and of Judar choking Cindy as Linda was laughing. The next was of Judar smashing the window of Ja'fars car and of him grabbing Cindy's foot while Cindy was holding onto Nami tightly with her jacket over the infant.

Next was a photo of Jafars car with the window smashed in with glass everywhere on the back bench as well as a picture of an unconscious Cindy in the hospital-her arms and legs were bandaged up. Behind the pictures was the medical bill for Cindy as well as the repair cost for Jafar's door window. The judge looked to Natsu. "These photos-they aren't edited are they?"

Natsu shook his head. "No your honor they aren't, Other than the one for my sister in the hospital they came from cameras that my sis had installed around the house after our parents passed. I took screen shots of the footage since I didn't know the pin to download the footage itself. The only person who does is Cindy and I didn't want her stressing over something that she shouldn't have gotten harm in, in the first place."

The judge nodded his head as he took a calculator out and he added up the medical and repairs before he looked to Natsu. "Tell me, have you and your sister talked about suing?"

Cindy nodded her head quickly before she nudged Natsu to look at her phone. Natsu read it before he looked up. "My sister wishes to sue, she also requests a restraining order against Judar and Linda."

The judge looked at the duo surprised and crossed his arms. "How much are you two wishing to sue for?"

"What?! You're not even going to ask me if I want to sue them or get a restraining order against them?! And what about my child! She deserves to be with her mother! Not her workaholic father or equally workaholic aunt!" Linda shrieked out

"For your information my hours changed I do the graveyard shift which means I have the morning and afternoon to take care of Nami-and as for my sister, since the male organism beside you had crushed in her vocal cords she has quit working and now stays home. Which does upset her since her degree is now useless but she does help me take care of Nami even if she can't verbally speak to me." Natsu said seriously "Also you never gave a damn about our daughter! If you did you would have thought about how this would have affected her! you were the one who divorced me and you were the one who cheated on me so I don't want to hear that you're the victim here! My elder sister and I are! You and that male have made things a living fucking hell for her and I!"

Natsu then looked to the judge. "My sister and I are suing for ten thousand-for the medical bills for Cindy due to what that male did to her plus the damage done to Jafar's car."

Judar got up pissed. "Your honor you can't possibly think that they are in the right! That woman must be faking it! Not even three months ago she was talking-I never laid a hand on that woman!"

The judge wasn't taking any shit from Judar and slammed his mallet down. "I say what goes-from this day forth Nami Ottawa will stay with her father. Linda you will have to pay child support for the child until she is eighteen years of age, you will also not be permitted to see your daughter until she is sixteen when we will meet once more. You and Judar will not be permitted to be anywhere near the Ottawa family within a sixty yard radius starting today once this meeting is adjured. Judar-since you have talked big and have had a cocky attitude since you came in here I will be expecting you to pay the money that Natsu and Cindy are suing the two of you for. This meeting is adjured for."

The judge then left, Cindy grabbed Nami and bolted out before anything could be said or done to her, Natsu stayed behind and bitched out Judar and Linda for what they had done while Jafar was trying to calm down his girlfriend. Even though he missed her voice he knew that she wouldn't be able to talk for a while. Not until Natsu can find a way to make damn sure she can actually talk without harming her more than she was already in pain for.
