Hand Care

Yes, one of my resolutions is to take care of my hands. Weird? Well, no. 

You see...hands are the body part where our age shows the most. If you are mediterranean like me, its a  tool for expression. If you want to look elegant, classy, delicate...they are a huge part of how people percieve you. 

So my goal is to get to summer with soft, clean, delicate hands, those that you see in people who do hand modeling. 

To achieve this, I have researched the routine of hand models and will be following a new hand routine (I know it sounds weird, just trust me on this one)

* Disclaimer: These are the products that I will be using. Try them out, but if they don't work for you, choose products that go well with your skin. I have chosen skin products that work best for me, however, i am no professional, so always turn to a professional for skincare advice

DAILY ROUTINE FOR PERFECT HANDS

Night: 

- Simple toner to wet the skin. Moisture improves the absorbing of nutrients. 

- Moisturize (preferably with a simple skin moisturizer that is as natural as possible)

- Oil your nails and cuticles with oil of choice. I use argan oil, but any oil works well

- Finish off with any sort of petroleum (I use simple vaseline) to lock in the moisture. 

WEEKLY ROUTINE FOR PERFECT HANDS

Once a week: 

- Exfoliate with a gentle exfoliator. If you don't have one, my favourite diy exfoliator is honey and brown sugar. Rub the exfoliator for a few minutes. 

- Hand mask. If you don't want to buy a hand mask, use a face mask, a vitamin b mask, or any sort of oil or thick moisturiser that you can leave on your hands for a while

- File nails and apply cuticle oil

- Push down your cuticles gently. Avoid over-trimming your cuticles, and, I repeat, always use cuticle oil!!

Finally, these are some inspo pics of the nail styles I will be rocking while I wait for my nails to heal after too many acrylics. I chose a natural, elegant look that looks as clean as possible.
