It's completely normal to have anxiety attacks, at any age or time. It would surprise you how many people suffer them and understand the suffering. I've had plenty of them myself due to  exam weeks, things not going as planned, pressure...

So first of all, never feel ashamed to say you suffer from anxiety or you're having an anxiety attack and ask for help!!!! It's not only bad for your health but also affects your everyday life and wellbeing.

Here are some tips I use to deal with anxiety, and that work wonders for me

Disclaimer! These tips do work for most people I know but we're all different so if they don't work for you, go check with your doctor or simply go to a psychologist(it's perfectly normal and acceptable to see one)

1. Disconnect from social media
Sometimes social media creates a great stress and pressure on our lives. So turn off your phone or simply take a break from social media for as long as you need and come back when you feel calm again, ready for a new start.

2. Take a nap
Sometimes when you're on the verge of stress, you just need some 30 minute sleep to relax and prepare your body. This will fill you up with energy and allow your mind to disconnect for a while.

3. Take slow deep breaths while stretching your legs and arms

If you're having an anxiety attack in the middle of class, the street... anywhere, start counting to ten while taking deep breaths and stretching . This will not only relax your body but help your mind take some time to slowly focus and get itself together.

4. Find someone!

While some people need to be alone and not touched by anybody during an anxiety episode, others might find it better to speak to someone, give someone a long hug or just ask to hold their hand. Believe me, it helps!

6. Organize

Sometimes anxiety comes from stress or feeling your life is messy and upside down. One of the best things you can do is clean and organize your room/ school books / notes / phone .... the feeling of cleaning and organizing will help your mind organize itself too and will boost your confidence. When I have anxiety I tend to clean thoroughly my room/ house or just start clearing my phone gallery...

7. Meditate

You can either go out for a while and meditate, put a YouTube guided meditation video on, close you're eyes for a while or zone out and calmly organize your mind

8. And last but not least Orgasms!!!

I know, it sounds crazy, but the best way to relax and detach yourself from the moment is having an orgasm and believe me, it will make you feel calm and composed. This of course can only be done if you're at home or with your partner, but still it's a very effective way to collect yourself and relax. So babes, if you're  feeling a little uneasy or on the verge of tears, get in the shower, soak in warm water, and play a little ;)

Most importantly, never fear anxiety, you are in control of your mind and body and you can regain that control in any way that's comfortable for you
