Mistakes when exercising

When going through a weight loss journey, there are many mistakes that can be an annoying obstacle. 

1. Consuming less calories, but calories with no nutrients. 

You dont have to cut carbs entirely in order to loose weight because some carbs we need to live and improve our metabolism. The same way, you cant eat 900 calories a day of junk and expect results. Cutting calories also means choosing the right calories to function correctly. Avoid empty calories

2. Not drinking enough water

Drinking water will make you retain water if you dont drink enough. So for those of you who are worried about water retention, the solution is precisely drinking more water. 

3. "Light" foods aren't always healthy, so dont consume in excess

Light foods are a version of a normal food with less calories, but that doesn't automatically mean its healthy. It is a good alternative, but not if we consume them all the time with the excuse that they are 'light'. Because in excess, nothing is.

4. Don't starve yourself

Dieting shouldn't mean being hungry. Never skip meals or starve yourself because that works as a crash diet and is NOT good for your health. Crash diets work for a short period of time and the moment you increase your calories you will gain the weight back and it will be harder to loose it, as your metabolism will slow down more.  Another con of starving youself is that the next meakl ypou have you will overeat or binge and that throws away all your hard work.

5.  Dont rely entirely on what the scale said

Not all the weight shown in the scale is fat. Remember muscle and water retention. 

6. Stress will make you bloat

Stressing yourself out is the worst enemy of loosing weight, so remember to take some time for yourself, meditate, relax, move calmly through life and deal with stress in the healthiest way possible (Exercise, therapy, self care day, venting...) 

7. Taking a rest day is as important as an intense workout day

If you exercise every day with no breaks, your body will eventually start to give out, it will become sore, stressed which makes you bloat, and it will refuse to take in all the benefits of working out

8. Change your workout

If you repeat the same workouts and routines every time to exercise, your body will get used to them and they will not benefit you at all. Mix diferent types of routines and have fun trying diferent things out. 

9. Be patient

Some days you will see results, some days you wont. The more dat you loose the harder it is to loose it, so if you stop seeing big results dont give up and go back to an unhealthy lifestyle. Whoever tells you a weightloss journey can be completed in a week is wrong, a weightloss journey never stops and needs consistency.

10. Don't try to look like anyone online. Be realistic.

Looking at instagram models' pics for motivation is fine, but dont try to look like them and despair if you cant. Most of those models dont even look like that. Take into account the surgeries, photo editing and posing when thinking you have to look like a certain picture. 

Your body is beautiful when its healthy. You dont have to look like a VS model to be beautiful. Any shape and size is the perfect one as long as it is healthy
