IMPORTANT!! What rapists search for in their victims

Please read girls, I've been tried to be attacked a few times while out so I know how scary it is

I know I shouldn't be posting this since society should teach people not to rape instead of teaching girls how to protect themselves

Unfortunately, since that is clearly not happening here are 10 things a rapist searches for when looking for a victim

1. Hairstyles

A rapist will always search for ponytails, braids etc, hairstyles which are easy to pull. It's also probable that they attack women with long hair.

So if you do have long hair and you're walking alone if you can you would might as well want to put it up in a bun or tug it into the back of your shirt

2. Clothes

They'll search for clothes that can be ripped easily, such as buttons, zippers, or any clothing with weak fabric.

My advice would be to always carry a jacket or hoodie in winter and god knows what we're all gonna do in summer

3. Distraction

They will always look for a victim who is distracted, for example typing on their phone, listening to music etc

No rapist will ever attack if you're talking on the phone so if you ever see something suspicious, call someone or fake a phone call. Also try not to walk with headphones if you sense danger

4. Time of the day

The times where most women have been attacked has been early between 5:00 am - 8:00 am and late at night after 10:00 pm

If you can try not to walk alone at those hours it be great but sometimes you can't help it so try to walk with someone always . If you feel you're being followed go up to a stranger and ask for help. They won't say no

5. Their tactic

A rapist will always attack someone in a place where they can carry them to another place where they don't have to worry to be caught

Try to avoid empty parking lots, where there can be cars ready to take you away or lonely streets

6. Umbrellas

Rapist won't attack women carrying umbrellas or any other potential weapon. Keys however aren't a weapon for them since a victim has to let the rapist get  very close to use them.

If you carry a bag try to have a small umbrella in it always

7. Asking questions

If you ever see someone who you feel is dangerous, look at them straight in the eyes and ask them something such as :what time is it?

A rapist will know that you will be able to recognize them later if you interact with them and get scared off

8. Scream

A rapist will get scared off if you scream and show resistance, since they will probably look for victims who won't give them problems.

If you feel in danger, scream FIRE!! More people will come to help if they hear that than if you scream HELP, where people will get scared and run

9. Women who don't look behind them

If a rapist is following you and he sees you don't turn your head and walk relaxed , he will feel like you're a safe victim. Always look behind you when walking.

10. Drunk girls

This one is the most common one . If you're ever out drinking , a rapist will wait until you and your friends are drunk af and take you away acting nicely. Believe me, I've seen this happen. He'll probably also observe you during the night and/or drug you at some point to speed up the process

So rule n#1 CONTROL THAT DRINKING. You can have fun without drinking that much and will always be in control of the situation

Also if you see someone observe you during the night, they tell people!!  Tell your friends, the security guards, the barista, strangers ANYONE you encounter because if
1. He sees you talking about him to other people he will go away, bc then everyone will know it was him
2. If he does try to take you away more people will be watching and will be able to recognize him later

STAR ADVICE

Sometimes , doing all of these dangerous things is inevitable and victims shouldn't change the way the live just because rapists want to cause harm

So all of us bad bitches must learn something that will never ever fail : self defense tactics !!!

Either if it's at a class or alone at home using YouTube videos, this is the most important thing we can learn to protect ourselves, and it's a skill that will ALWAYS be useful to have

Rapists look for easy victims , that don't fight back. If you fight them and show them you aren't scared to fight it's proven that in 2 mins they will stop and run away. Fight makes them waste time and they see you as not worth it.

So please please please, it's a dangerous time for us, protect yourself , be careful, and remember to always fight like a girl!
