Never appreciated in general
No one realizes the effort I put in
The effort to be there for them
The effort to not show weakness
To help them through everything
I ask for nothing in return
Nothing
Only to be respected
To be appreciated
Just appreciate me
Appreciate my existence
Appreciate me being here
Appreciate all I do for you
All the hurdles I go through
All the time and patience I go through
Everything
I see your sad
And I'm there
You don't have to say anything
You don't have to ask for help
I exhaust myself for others
And no one appreciates it
Appreciates me
No one gives me the time of day
No "how are you?"
Or "how's your day been?"
Nothing
No appreciation
No common courtesy
I just want to be treated like I matter
That's it
