once adri told me she was a virgin, something clicked in my head.

one, i shouldn't be this girls first.

as soon as ricky mentioned they might be doing something, it all clicked. within minutes ricky was outside. i grabbed my hoodie and slid on my jays and out the door i was.

we made it to tj's and i went to dap up the gang. there weren't many of us. i knew what type 'kickback' this was.

"alright y'all" tj spoke up.

tj was pretty much like the "leader" of the group, as corny as that sounds. i ain't know him long. but i see the way he run shit. i knew i wanted a part of it.

"it's that time again. we bouta hit a lick and i need my best men with me" tj crossed his arms. everyone hyped each other up, "fuck yeah! lets go!"

"bro, didn't you say you went to adriana's today?" ricky lean to whisper to me. i nodded, "yeah."

"Oakley knows a place" ricky shouted, gaining the attention of everyone, including tj. a smirk grew across tj's face. "alright, lets hear it" he said.

i just about shat myself. i let out a relaxed sigh to cover my nerves. "uhh, it's over about terrace hills" i spoke. once i uttered the name of adriana's neighbourhood, tj's eyebrows raised.

"terrace hills... you know the house? ins and outs of it?" tj walked closer to me.truth be told, i barely remembered adriana's house code. "yeah. i know the neighborhood liken the back of my hand"

"the place empty tonight?" tj asked.

"there's a young girl staying there tonight... no one else" i replied.

"alright then. lets ride gentlemen"

all 5 of us pulled up down the corner of adri's street. couldn't have been earlier than 3am. to be honest, i was shittin my pants. i never hit a lick before.

"since the code is inside, the entrance has to be opened from the inside or else the alarms gonna go off. someone knock on the front door, then we'll make our way in" tj whispered.

"okay, who?" ricky asked. tj looked at me. "there you go newbie" tj threw me a balaclava. i gulped silently. "alright" i mumbled.

"if you pull this off--"

my ears shut out everything the rest of the guys were saying. two guys followed a couple feet behind me as i went up to adri's front door and knocked. no answer.

i knocked again.

i heard rustling by the front door and the door knob turned. adriana peeked her face through a small crack she made in the door, "hello?"
