adriana's pov

i jumped into oakley's arms in excitement. "i missed you princess" oakley purred unto my hear. "i missed you too" i told him wholeheartedly.

we soon went inside and walked upstairs. "this place looks familiar" oakley joked and i nudged his side. dickhead.

i opened my bedroom door and placed the teddy bear and sign on the ground. "awhh i want the teddy bear!" mari begged. oop, i forgot i told her to stay up here.

oakley grabbed the bear, "you want him?" he asked. mari nodded shyly.

"you can have him, he told me he wants you to keep him" oakley kneeled to mari's height and pushed the bear toward her. "much thank you" mari squeaked as she grabbed the bear that was larger than her.

"of course love" oakley smiled. "you talk english funny" mari giggled. i facepalmed. mari covered her mouth giddily.

"it's okay, you talk funny too" oakley shot back at my five-year-old sister. "english is not my first language..." mari looked down. "what's your name?" oakley asked her.

"mariana" my sister answered. "i'm oakley" oakley lent out his hand for her to shake it.

not gonna lie, it was super adorable seeing oakley interact with my baby sister like this. my heart melted with every word they exchanged.

"are you the man papa took to jail?"

"okay i think it's your bedtime" i said as i grabbed mari's arm to take her to her bedroom. "adri, it's okay" oakley chuckled softly. mari ran to oakley and hid behind his legs.

"mariana can stay with us" oakley scooped my sister into his arms, causing her to giggle with joy.

i have to admit, seeing the two most important people in my life in one room is a sight i wouldn't miss for the world. i shrugged and let my sister stay.

i sat down on my bed and turned on my tv. i put on paw patrol for mari and let her sit in front of the screen.

i was so anxious to ask oakley about where the hell he had been. but i didn't want to talk about that stuff around my baby sister.

oakley joined me sitting on my bed and casually put his arm around me. i was still tense though.

"adri, is oakley your boyfriend?" mari turned to ask me. i facepalmed again. girl, if i knew, i'm sure things would be so different right now.

oakley silently let out a chuckle. oh, he thinks it's funny?

"i don't know, oakley why don't you answer this one?"

oakley immediately stopped chuckling and cleared his throat. "i'm adriana's boyfriend if she wants me to be" oakley said, followed by a flirtatious glare back at me.

really smart answer, i rolled my eyes. "adriana has only had one boyfriend" mari said as she turned back to watch her show.

"oh really?" oakley questioned. mari nodded her head. how does she even remember that?

"i don't remember him though" mari added. oh, i was about to say.

"one boyfriend huh?" oakley turned to look at me with a playful smile across his lips. "yup" i sighed. "well, i've never had a girlfriend" oakley replied. i raised a brow in disbelief, "liar."

"nah. i've got issues" oakley said.

"issues?" i questioned.

"intimacy issues, innit?" he smirked.
