It has been a handful of days since I had last seen Camilla and Auggie. A handful of agonizing days of searching, questioning anyone who may have information, analyzing every piece of evidence- and coming up empty.

The team had worked tirelessly alongside the local police, following every lead no matter how thin. But Camilla and Auggie seemed to have vanished without a trace. I was struggling to maintain focus, my mind spiraling through endless worst-case scenarios. I haven't slept or eaten, surviving solely on copious amounts of coffee as the days blurred together.

JJ and Rossi tried to convince me to take a break, but I had refused. The idea of stopping, even for a moment, was unbearable. This was my family at stake. I had to keep going until I found them.

As the team and I are gathered in the police station today going over maps and timelines yet again, Garcia comes bursting through the doors. "I got something!" She announces breathlessly.

Everyone's heads snap up at once.

"What is it?" I demand, jumping up from my seat and rounding on her with wild-sleep-deprived eyes.

"I found her. I talked to her just a couple minutes ago. And a traffic cam picked up Camilla's car heading north out of the city a couple days ago," Garcia explains hurriedly.

I clutch onto her words desperately. "And? What did she say?"

Garcia meets my gaze, her expression one of caution mixed with hope. "I couldn't speak to her directly, Spence. But I told her we're coming I promise."

My heart leaps into my throat. I grab Garcia by the arms. "Let me see it. Please, I need to see it for myself."

The team looks on worriedly, knowing how much is riding on this for me. Garcia nods and leads me over to her laptop. With shaking hands, she pulls up the video file and hits play.

On the screen is Camilla's beautiful face. I look around, taking in the hotel room. "That's in Vegas." I say, spotting Auggie's head full of curls as he sleeps soundly in the bed. My fingers dig into the edge of the laptop as I scan her frantically for any signs of distress. But she looks unharmed ultimately.

I release a breath.

"I told her we already know that she and you were and are together. You see the relief on her face, Spence?"

Unable to hold back anymore, I bring a hand to my mouth and allow the tears to come. All the pent-up fear, stress and exhaustion of the past few days comes flooding out as relief sweeps through me. Garcia places a hand on my back and lets me cry, not saying a word. The others look on, matching smiles of reassurance on their faces.

"They're okay," I sob, repeating it like a mantra. "She's okay, they're both okay." I rewind the video and watch it again through blurry eyes, taking in every moment. Then a third time, just to be sure. My family is safe...enough. After what felt like an eternity of worry and not knowing, I finally had proof of that. Through my tears, I turn to Garcia with a grateful smile. "Thank you," I whisper. She pulls me into a hug, letting me cry on her shoulder.
