The sunlight filters through the office windows as I enter the familiar workspace, the routine of the daily grind temporarily overshadowed by the weight of the events from the previous night.

The hum of office machinery and the distant murmur of colleagues provide an odd contrast to the emotional turmoil still lingering within me. My desk, cluttered with papers and forgotten coffee mugs, feels like an alien space today.

The thought of facing the demands of work amid the emotional wreckage is daunting, but I push through, determined to take the necessary steps to heal. As I make my way to the HR department to request an unpaid leave for the week, I encounter Seokjin hyung.

"Jimin, you look a bit off today. Everything okay?" Seokjin's concern is evident as he looks up from his desk, the stack of papers momentarily forgotten.

I manage a weak smile, trying to appear as composed as possible. "Yeah, just a rough night. I need to take some time off."

Seokjin raises an eyebrow, concern deepening in his gaze. "Anything you want to talk about?"

I hesitate for a moment, debating how much to share. "It's just personal stuff, hyung. Thanks for asking, though. I'll be fine."

"With Jungkook?" His lips tighten into a sympathetic smile. "If you need help or simply need someone to listen to, don't be afraid to come and find me, yaa?" He nods, understanding in his eyes.

"Thanks, hyung. I appreciate it." I offer a grateful smile. "Can I ask you a favour?"

"Yes, of course." He nods almost eagerly.

"Your husband, Namjoon hyung. He is Jungkook's personal assistant, right?" I begin, feeling a bit hesitant. "Can you tell him to keep an eye on Jungkook? I know this is too much to ask but please make sure he's okay."

"Things got big, hrmm?" He offers a sympathetic gaze at me as if he can sense how heavy my heart is right now. "Don't worry, Jimin-ah. I'll make sure Namjoon do that." He pats my shoulder, offering an encouraging smile.

"Thank you so much, hyung." I give him an appreciative smile before continuing my journey to the HR department.

If there's anyone with whom I can seek marriage advice, it would be him. But right now, for the start, I need to tend myself first.

As I wait for my turn to speak to the HR manager, my mind is still tangled in the web of emotions left over from the confrontation with Jungkook. The request for an unpaid leave slips out with more ease than expected, with the HR manager expressing sympathy but following the protocol.

With my leave approved, I take a deep breath, deciding to use this time to confront the emotional turmoil head-on.

Once the office affairs are sorted, I decide to visit my Jiyeon noona, seeking comfort in the familiar embrace of family. The journey to her apartment feels longer than usual, each step weighed down by the emotional baggage of the night before.

When I finally reach Jiyeon's place, she opens the door with a warm smile that fades when she sees my puffy eyes and the visible signs of distress on my face.

"Manggae, what happened?" Concern lines her features as she ushers me inside.

I take a seat on her couch, the words catching in my throat as I try to find the right way to articulate the pain that's been consuming me. Jiyeon waits patiently, sensing the gravity of the situation.
