AIDAN'S POV
It's been a week since that day at the cafe. I'm still a little afraid that Paris will leave me for Christy, but I'll just have to trust him. It almost surprises me at how much I love him. Yeah, I love him, but I haven't told him yet and vice versa. Hopefully that changes soon. I sigh and save the document I'm typing on. I've been working on a new story, but right now I'm not in the mood to right. I shut down the computer and close it before sitting it on my bedside table. I slide out of bed and make my way downstairs. Dad is reading the newspaper, and Ian went out about a hour ago to go grocery shopping. I kiss m dad on the cheek before walking into the kitchen. Opening the refrigerator I grab the jug of orange juice and pour myself a glass of tangy, sweet liquid. After I finish my drink I put the cup in the sink.
"There's nothing to do." I sigh to myself. Paris is busy with some plans. I don't know what he's doing because every time I ask he just gets a sly grin on his face. Trey is visiting his grandmother, so that's out of the question. Jamie is at some designing class he takes three times a week and he won't be home until six. At the thought of Jamie, two faces pop into my head and I grin. Of course! I sprint to my room and shed the sweatpants I'm wearing, replacing them with blue jeans. I run my hands through my hair before grabbing my keys and phone and running down the stairs. Reaching the bottom I yell to Dad that I'm leaving and make my way to my car.
Fifteen minutes later I'm pulling up to Jamie's and his brothers' house. I know I said he isn't home, but that doesn't mean I can't visit Jeremy, who happens to have the day off. I walk to the porch and knock on the door. Usually I can walk right in but I didn't call first so he may have company. A few seconds pass by before the door opens. Jeremy stands in the doorway wearing a pair of red basketball shorts, a white T-shirt, and black socks.
"Hey Aidan! I haven't seen you in days. Why are you knocking, you know you can walk right in. That's why I gave you a key." He pulls me into a hug before releasing me and ruffling my already tousled hair.
"Nice do." He teases. I laugh and stick my tongue out at him. We walk into the house and the smell of cheese steaks assault my nose. My stomach grumbles in approval and I blush. I haven't eaten since breakfast. Jeremy looks down at me and shakes his head in amusement.
"Shut up." I mumble. He chuckles and pats my back.
"Go ahead and sit down in the living room. I'll make two more." I nod, grateful and he just smiles. We go our seperate ways as I venture into the living room and he makes his way back into the kitchen. Sitting on the longest couch I watching some nature show on Animal Planet. I bet you didn't know that all polar bears are left handed, or that giraffes have no vocal cords and communicates by vibrating the air around it's neck. Or is it just me? About twenty minutes later Jeremy enters the living room with a tray in each hand. He hands me one and takes a seat beside me on the couch. There are two philly cheese steaks and some fries on each of our plates. My eyes slightly widen at the amount of food he gave me.
"Jerms I can eat all of this." I cry out. He looks at me with a deadanned look before speaking.
"Oh please. I've seen you eat more than that. Stop trying to be polite all the time." I blush at his word and looks at me knowingly.
"I just don't want to intrude." I whisper. He sighs in exasperation and shakes his head. Grabbing me by the chin he forces me to look him in the eye.
"Aidan, in all the years I've known you you haven't once intruded. Your like family, okay? Now eat your food." I give him a small smile before biting into my cheese steak. I moan in delight. God, Jeremy makes makes the best cheese steaks ever. He chuckles and I grin at him in response.
