Saying Goodbye

The days leading up to the groups departure were filled with silence, Carlina and Crosshair avoided each other the best they could. Everyone knew that things already on thin ice between the two and didn't want to accidently set either of them off. Carlina inspected the modified Omicron attack shuttle, while it was small it was perfect for the tiny group. Tech had offered her his bunk since he didn't sleep in it all that often, she had packed her duffel bag full of weapons in the cargo area with everything else. She had opted to wear her armor, the pieces fitting snug and close to her body. Walking down the hall everyone looked at her with open mouths, her armor cascaded down her arms down to her wrists, arms, head and back. Her mask clipped over her face, she was wearing dark grey Kamas her sabers swinging on her belt as she walked. She was also wearing a breastplate that had a Loth wolf engraved in the center, it felt good to wear the armor and she was thrilled to be putting it to good use instead of letting it collect dust in the case. Entering the hanger she walked over to the ship, Tech was double checking the list one last time to see if they had missed everything. 

"We got everything Tech?" Carlina asked, Tech turned. "I did a full sweep of the inventory, we're all good to go whenever you are General." "Please, just call me Carlina, Tech. I don't like the title." He shrugged his shoulders before being nearly knocked over by Wrecker, "Wow, nice armor Carlina!" "Thank you Wrecker, Hunter. Did we load the extra crate of rations?" "Of course, we should have enough for any future missions we'll deal with on Kashyyk." "I think I'm more concerned about Wrecker eating it all, make sure that he doesn't know." She whispered, Hunter smiled and patted her shoulder, "Don't worry, we'll make sure he doesn't till the time is right." Carlina turned and saw Shaak Ti standing a little ways off, her hands clasped behind her back, "I'll be on board shortly Hunter, tell Tech to get the ship ready to go." He nodded and headed up the steps, walking over to her friend she took the mask off. "I just wanted to see you off Carlina, I really hope you find what your looking for." 

"Too be honest I'm not sure I know what I'm looking for." "You'll know when you do. May the force be with you, always." Carlina threw her arms around her friends neck, Shaak Ti returned the embrace and watched as she disapeared into the ship. When it was nothing but a speck in the clear blue skies she turned to attend to her daily tasks.
