It was dark when the group decided to stop, they had covered a lot of ground since the crash sight. Tech helped gather some fire wood and started a small fire, Carlina watched as Rex tended to Cody. Walking over she smiled at him,"May i try something?""Of course General."Pulling her armored gloves off she placed her hands on Cody's stomach, taking a deep breath she felt the force from the forest around her. Redirecting it to her fingers she felt herself slowly heal Cody's wounds, he relaxed as he felt the pain subside. Drawing her hands back she sat on the ground panting,"What was that?"Rex asked raising an eyebrow at her,"That is force healing, only a handful of Jedi know how to do this. I was taught many things at the temple on Lothal, I didnt really think that this would be relevant but I guess it came in handy."They turned and heard Jesse and Kix talking,"I get what makes the other batchers unique but what makes Hunter special?"Jesse asked Kix leaned over and stated,"He can put up with the other three!"Tech had crouched down warming his hands,"Hunter has enhanced senses. Like the cyber center Hunter can feel the electromatic frequences anywhere on the planet."Jesse then sat up straighter,"And here I thought we were smart just using a holo map.""Maps can be wrong, Hunter never is."Tech said looking at Hunter, Rex got up and stood in front of everyone."Listen up we need to move out.""Commander Cody is in no possition to move."Crosshair said furrowing his eyebrows,"Already called in evac, Kix will stay with Cody until it arrives. I have a plan to get into that cyber center."Carlina could feel the tension in the air, Crosshair took the toothpick out of his mouth and pointed it at Rex,"If your plans are so good why did commander Cody have to call us in?"Jesse stood and got into Crosshair face,"You cant talk to Captain Rex like that."Carlina moved to intercept when Wrecker stood and shouted,"Says who?"Picking Jesse by the throat she saw Kix jump up only to be shoved by Crosshair,"Stay out of this."Kix shoved him back and they began to tussle each other, Carlina grabbed Wreckers arm."Put him down now."He dropped Jesse who rubbed his neck, Hunters voice boomed across the group."Fella's come on, we're all fighting for the same thing, right?"Kix and Crosshair shoved themselves away from each other still glaring at each other, Carlina relaxed a little."Alright, lets cut the chatter and finish what we started. For Commander Cody."Hunter said, Rex nodded then said,"Gear up and lets go."It was morning when they reached an outpost, crouching down so they wouldnt be seen by the droids guarding the enterance, Hunter turned to Rex,"It's an outpost should we take it?"Rex looked at it then back to the outpost,"Probably easier than going around.""Alright, what are your orders, pick them off from the tree lines?""Actually I was thinking we take a page from your book, head them face on."Hunter smirked under his helmet,"Heh, I like your style."Carlina raised her guns and started to fire at the unsuspecting droids, the group got up and rushed at them picking them off one by one. One of the droids managed to stutter"Hey your not authorized."Carlina shot the droid, the droids were all taken out when Wrecker emerged from the tree lines. Taking off his helmet he exclaimed,"It's over all ready? Aw man."Carlina patted him on the shoulder, They looked out the window where the cyber center was."Theres the cyber center."Rex said scrunching his eyebrows, Tech had hacked into the mainframe of the system,"It looks like the cyber center itself has minimal guards. About 30 droids. Wait, wait. I got a massive signal comeing through."Carlina stood next to him and pursed her lips, and watched as he typed something,"A whole platoon of droids is heading this way."He said looking up, Hunter crossed his arms."Looks like someone noticed our handiwork back at the crash sight."Rex placed his helmet back over his head and looked at Hunter,"Yeah, make sure you keep an eye on those Sepertists forces. I want to know when they reach this outpost."Tech looked at Rex and nodded his head,"You got it Cap."Carlina pipped up,"We need to move swiftly then.""We'll grab some speeder bikes and flank them from the back."Carlina stated holstering her blasters, they headed out. Rex and Jesse approched from the front, two droids were talking to each other,"Do you know whats going on?""Maybe it's anothing drill."They ambushed the droids and moved to the enterance,Rex raised his com to his helmet,"Is everyone in position?"Hunter, tech, Wrecker and Carlina nodded and Hunter spoke into his com,"Affirmative."Crosshair who had taken position on a nearby cliff raised his com and spoke,"Affirmative."Tech looked through his visor and spoke,"Cap you wanted to know when the Sepertists forces breached the outpost, there getting there right about now."Rex and Jesse saw one of the droids holding a holo pad with trench on it,"Be on alert, an attack is comeing."The droid leaned forward,"an attack is comeing, When?"The droids head was shot off causing the transmition to be cut, throwing a grenade he took out some of the droids. Crosshair fired down on the droids, the droids in the back rushed to the main doors in the front, Carlina's group moved forward. Tech quickly started to hack into the doors mainframe, Tech muttered,"This is a delicate operation."Wrecker kicked the door with his foot startleing Tech,"Boom, you take to long."He pried the door open and the four of them started to shoot the droids, when they reached the room they were looking for Tech got to work. His fingers flying over the controls effortlessly, "I'm in."He stated moving aside for Carlina to see,"Good work Tech."Wrecker ran off to the front to open the door for Rex and Jesse,"What took you so long?"Rex asked Wrecker,"Hey, this is a delicate operation."He said quoting Tech, there was a loud noise from a droid transport comeing their way,"Better get in there Cap."Wrecker said aiming his gun at the transport, Jesse turned to him."Go, we'll hold them off."Rex ran inside, when he saw Hunter and Carlina standing guard he ran to Tech. Taking off his helmet he looked as the goggled clone finshed typing,"What am I looking for Captian?"He handed him a data chip,"An algorithim."Tech took the chip out of his hands and inserted it into the slot provided,"Your looking for a program useing this sequence."Typing Tech soon found it,"I got it.""Good, put it up."They watched as some holograms were dysplayed,"Strange, this is not a program. It's a live signal from another planet...Skako Minor.""A live signal?"Rex asked looking more confused now than ever. Outside Carlina commed Crosshair,"Crosshair, we're going to need a lift."Looking around he spotted a transport,"Not going to be a problem."Tech continued to type,"Here it is, it's audible.""Patch it through, I want to hear it."Rex said now impatient for the results. Tech typed for a little bit till he got what he wanted, patching it through they watched as the sounds eminated through the room,"What is that?"Tech asked looking at the Captain,"It almost sounds, human."The Captain stood in amazment,"It cant be."Crosshair had gotten his hands on the transport, powering it up he headed for the group. Hunter and Carlina were firing their weapons at the incoming droids, speaking through his com he yelled,"We have to go now.""Tech find out whos sending that signal."Tech typed into the computer and the answer came through,"CT-1409, CT-1409."Rex was now in shock,"I dont believe this."Picking up his stuff Tech rushed out of the room to help give Carlina and Hunter some cover,"Rex we have to go."When he didnt move Hunter yelled,"Rex, now!"Putting his helmet on he rushed out the room, the group ran outside closely followed by Wrecker and Jesse, climbing onto the transport they zoomed off, Tech looked at the Captain."Captain what did those numbers mean?""CT-1409, that was Echos number. He's alive."
