Carlina awoke to someone knocking on her door, groaning she got up and answered it, "Yes?" A clone Commander was standing outside, "Your pressance is requested at tonight's dinner with several Generals and a few of the Wookie tribe leaders miss." Sighing she rubbed her eyes, "What time is it?" "Noon, you'll have plenty of time General." She frowned when she realized that she didn't have anything fancy to wear, "Um just one question, what am I to wear?" His head perked up, "May I come in?" Opening the door wider she let him enter the room, he walked over to the closet and opened it revealing some dresses and robes, "I get it you didn't have a chance to really put your stuff away." He commented looking at the duffel bags and case still sitting on the bench at the foot of the bed, "No. The trip wore me out so I just opted to just sleep." "If it's my personal opinion I suggest you wear this dress tonight, it will bring out your eyes and your hair color General." Walking over she fingered the sparkly deep blue dress, "And my hair?" She asked pointing to her head, "I think I can work my magic!" She let out a small laugh, "Alright, I'll radio you once I'm ready for my hair to be done Commander!" He nodded and headed out, once he had left the room she rolled her eyes. She had never been one to talk about politics and really wasn't looking forward to talking about the war and such, shedding her robes she entered the bathroom and turned on the shower, getting in she let the warm water run across her shoulders and down her back. It felt good to let the water run down her scar littered back, she didn't talk about the scars that littered her body due to the fact that it was still a painful reminder of her childhood. Once she had scrubbed her hair and body she turned off the water and dried herself off, grabbing a pair of pants and a shirt she slipped on her belt hanging her sabers at her sides, brushing her hair she looked herself in the mirror and headed out. Once she reached the edge of the forest she looked at the trees and took a deep breath walking into the forest she let the force guide her to a tree, closing her eyes she placed a hand on the rough bark. Listening to the light breeze she closed her eyes, everything seemed to move in slow motion. Like time itself had stopped, her eyes snapped open when she heard a twig snap in the distance, drawing her sabers she looked around her. She felt someone behind her, swinging her sabers she crossed them in front of the person's throat. "Tech?" His hands were up and he was looking at her with confusment. Drawing her sabers away she deactivated them, "You scared me."

"Sorry, I saw you heading into the forest and thought you would like some company." Hooking her sabers to her side she motioned for him to join her, he watched as she placed a hand on the bark of the tree, "What is it that you hope to accomplish?" He asked typing onto his data pad, "I'm searching, feeling. Being one with the elements around me." She responded looking at him, he raised an eyebrow. Sighing she stood and motioned for him to remove his glove, taking it off he flinched when she gently grabbed his wrist. "Is this really necessary?" "It is if you wish to know what I'm doing, not all can be explained through a data pad Tech. Sometimes you must feel whats in your heart rather than what's in your head." She said pointing to his chest, placing his hand over the bark she pressed her hand onto his. Her hands were warm much to his surprise, she was gentle and kind. "Close your eyes." He scoffed, "Now I really don't understand the purpose of this." "Just do it." She snapped making him frown under his helmet, Closing his eyes he did what she did, breathing in and out. After a while he felt something, a spark of sorts. The feeling getting stronger, it's wasn't just a feeling it was as if another pair of glasses had been slipped over his eyes. He could see despite the fact that his eyes were closed, drawing his hand back he opened his eyes, "What was that?" He asked panting slightly, "That Tech was the force. The force gives us inspiration but it can also help us see things in a clearer setting." Flexing his fingers he walked back up to the tree and ran his fingers across the rough knots and crevices of the tree, for once he was seeing things through his own eyes instead of looking at his data pad. While the feeling was strange it was invigorating, and different. "Are you okay?" Carlina asked making him look away from the tree, "Yes. I am perfectly fine." She patted his shoulder and headed down the path down to the river, calculating her jump she landed on a stone in the center of the river. She took off her boots and dipped her feet into the cold water, she was trying her best not to break into a sweat. Tech soon joined her, sitting down he watched as the afternoon breeze lifted her hair making it sweep to one side. In this lighting her features were softer than normal, almost as if she belonged here. "Your staring at me." Carlina whispered looking at him, "Sorry." He muttered pulling his attention ahead, she laughed and punched his shoulder. For a woman she was surprisingly strong, "I don't mind Tech!" "Really?" She nodded her head and looked back down into the water, "Can I be honest with you Tech?" The question threw him off guard for a second, "Of course." She bit her lip before explaining her situation, "I have to attend a dinner tonight and there's going to be talk about politics and the war. Being isolated has made my knowledge limited." "And you need what exactly?" Tech asked, "I need information and well your data pad is literally the only thing with intel I know." He flinched slightly but understood, handing her the data pad she smiled and stood. Slipping on her boots she motioned for him to follow her.
