Crosshair sat up in bed and watched as Carlina slept, those two girls had been up since the middle of the night talking about girl stuff."Carlina, time to wake up.""Five more minutes."She grumbled, pulling the blankets off she yelped as the coolness of the morning air bit at her skin."Crosshair, I'm too tired.""Don't care, Sandra, Tech you and I are supposed to go on patrol."Getting up Crosshair smirked at her morning hair,"Your looking at me as if I have two heads.""Well by how your hair is looking you might as well have two heads!"He laughed, she grinned and pulled on her robes, going to the fresher she brushed her hair up into a pony tail, walking out she saw the Crosshair was already to go,"Tech won't stop beeping me, I guess Sandra is also late.""We'll stop by her room, i'm sure she's just sleeping in."There was a knock at the door,"I guess Tech couldn't wait."Opening the door she was surprised that it was Sandra,"I'm already to go!""Good cause Tech's getting antsy."Carlina stated,"Really? I've been waiting since forever. I've already been on three patrols!""Oh please don't tell me you were up all night.""I WAS UP ALL NIGHT!!!"She shouted, Crosshair immediatly clamped a hand to her mouth."Crosshair!?"Carlina gasped, he looked into a pair of shocked filled eyes. Smoke started to flow from inbetween his fingers, her eyes flashed rainbow for a second."Crosshair let go!"A distorted voice said, looking at Sandra he saw her fists were on fire."Oh shit!"Withdrawing his hand he watched as her skin broke out into deep red scales,"Carlina?""Sandra, get a grip. Calm relaxing breaths just like we practiced."Taking deep breaths Sandra stopped glowing and the scales retreated, once she was all calmed down Carlina turned to see Crosshair."What the fuck was that?""That is something we'll have to talk about later Crosshair, for now lets just focus on patrol duty."Walking past Sandra he bumped his shoulder against her's, she glared at him and blew a puff of smoke in his direction. The walk to the landing bay was spent in silence, Carlina noticed how Crosshair would glare at Sandra from time to time and she would return the icey look. "It's about time you guys got here...Did I miss something?"He asked looking at Crosshair and Sandra,"Nope, nothing weird is happening here."Carlina nervously stated, he raised an eyebrow."Okay? Well let's get going!"He watched as Sandra climbed onto one of the speeders, her face dark and brooding. He sighed, climbing onto his own speeder the four headed out. Coming to the first check point Sandra hopped off her speeder, quickly climbing a tree she pulled out her helmet. Placeing it over her head she pulled down her visor, seeing that the sector was clear she climbed down. Landing on her feet she pulled her helmet off,"Good news, sector one is clear. I suggest Tech and I take the North and West side while you and Crosshair take the East and South side!"Sandra's face fell when she saw her friend thinking,"Or how about you and Crosshair take the North and West side while Tech and I take the East and South side!"Sandra glared at Carlina, then at Crosshair."Fine, let's just get this done and over with."She snapped,"Now wait a minute Sandra and I had already agreed to do our patrol together."Tech said holding up his hand,"I just feel like Crosshair and Sandra should take two sectors while we do the others.""That's not fair, you know I wanted to hang out with Sandra today.""What is wrong with you Tech, it won't kill ya to do one patrol with Carlina."Tech clenched his fists,"That's not the point."Sandra climbed onto her speeder and sped off, it was bad enough that Crosshair now hated her guts but the whole bickering was pushing her over the edge. Letting out a frustrated breath of fire she came to a halting stop when a bolt of gunfire hit her bike, doing a front flip and a side twist she landed on the balls of her feet. Taking her saber out she blocked the blaster fire, pulling water out of thin air she made a bubble."Crosshair I know it's you."She shouted, "Fancy moves, way to complex for any Jedi."He sneared, flipping the saber into the air it deactivated. She spun it a few times before clipping it to her belt,"Come on admit it your scared of me. Your afraid to loose Carlina so you take your fears and frustrations on people who are weaker than you."He clenched his fists,"Not to mention if you were to kill a Captain of the Grand Republic army you will face certain death, and I think we both know you care too much for Carlina. So think on that clone."She hissed, for once in his life Crosshair couldn't say a word, she was right. He wanted nothing more than to kill her right there on the spot but he also had Carlina to think about, letting out a huff he slid his sniper in it's slot on his bag."See, following orders isn't so hard."She mused, this angered him but for his sake he kept his emotions in check. He watched as she walked away, "Just what are you?"She laughed,"What do you think I am?""I think your a danger and menice to society and should be killed on sight.""Wow, tell me how you really feel why don't ya."She said rolling her eyes,"Your attitude is one to be desired.""What you going to do about it mister cow eyes. I'll tell you what, your not going to do nothing because you don't know who your messing with. I may not be a part of your squad but I do know how you work. So can we please just get this done and over with?"He was yet again silenced,"Fine the sooner we can get this done the sooner I can get rid of you."He said, once they were satisfied with the South side they moved onto the East side. Overall things were going good till it didn't.Carlina and Tech were on their way to the West sector when their coms beeped,"Oh no, this cant be good when both are calling at the same time."Carlina stated,"I would have to concur with that statement, we had best take the call while theres something to salvage from the two.""I agree."Pressing her com she instantly covered her ears,"CARLINA!!""What, whats wrong?""WE CANT STAND EACH OTHER.""Obviously, just head on back and we'll split you two up."The coms were dead silent,"Guys?"Nothing, then that's when they felt two speeders race past them. sheilding her eyes Carlina watched as Crosshair and Sandra raced through the forest,"Was that Sandra and Crosshair?"Tech asked,"Yep, and by the looks of it things did not go the way I intended things to happen.""Just what was your plan?""I just wanted them to get along, I didn't mean for things to get out of hand.""Well knowing how hot headed my brother can be I can see that Sandra is also very hot headed my calculations on this ending with injury is at a 80 percent.""Yeah I know."Getting onto their speeders they heard a loud crash in the distance,"That can't be good."Tech muttered, making their way to the crash they saw that Crosshair was pulling one of the speeders off of Sandra."What happened?"Carlina shouted, Crosshair looked up."She saved my neck."Tech grabbed the front of his brothers armor,"What the hell happened?"He hissed,"Sandra and I got into an argument. I wasn't paying attention she rammed her speeder into mine and crashed into the tree.""You okay Sandra?"Carlina asked,"Yeah, I'm good.""I think it best that we be done for today."Carlina said glareing at the two of them,"Crosshair and I have our own thing going on, lets just hope by the time dinner comes around you two will have cooled off."Taking on speeder Crosshair and Carlina headed back, Tech watched as Sandra sat on the ground."I've made such a mess.""Crosshair has always been head strong and unyeilding.""I think it would be best if I left."She whispered,"But what about tonight?""Tech, I like you but as you know I have a reputation to uphold. I think it would be better if i never saw you again."His heart sank, getting up he and Sandra climbed onto the speeder and headed back. He couldn't help but let a single tear streak down his face, he knew she had a life. He didnt blame her but at the same time he couldn't help but feel a little hurt.
