Chapter two

"Are you sure your sister doesn't need to come with us" Hawks asked as he and Aether made their way through the front door of a luxury apartment building, that was in one of the more richer areas of the city. Upon reaching the front door Hawks had an unnatural feeling come over him, which Aether sensed immediately.

"Are you alright Hawks" Aether asked quickly turning his head to the winged man, who gave a quick reply.

"Yep, I'm just fine, its just- I don't usually go through the front door to get to my penthouse so it's kinda weird, it's too bad you can't fly otherwise we'd just head in through the balcony" Hawks whined as he to walked through the front door. Aether watched as Hawks entered the building, and head to the receptionist at the front desk, to ask for two spare apartment ID'S for Lumine and Aether. Aether was going to say that he could fly, mostly so he could get the chance to show off the wings he missed so much... However he wasn't sure if it were the right time, considering that their powers would be easier to explain when if they were together. Together to revive the days they lost and rebuild their relationship.

That afternoon the guys spent the rest of the day in the apartment, considering Aether's open personality he and Hawks got along quite well. Since Hawks was occupying a permanent guest, he had a good reason to offer the rest of his shift to one of the other pro heroes. Meanwhile Lumine kept her promise and refrained from doing anything significantly illegal, other than hacking into the government system to alter the information around the Hero Hawks, as well as create profile of information for herself and her brother, claiming they were his adopted siblings, technically already breaking plenty of legal laws just by being there.

-the next day-

"Lumine!" Aether shot up from the bed after shouting his sisters name, sensing her sudden presence in his room.

"You really need to stop yelling Aether, but yeah, I'm back and I made something eat" Lumine explained gesturing to the doorway before swiftly slipping out of the room. Aether quickly got up from the bed throwing a shirt on before following his sister down the hallway and into the kitchen (note: he is wearing a pair of Hawkes's spare shorts). Hawks watched through his open door as the twins headed into the kitchen, waiting for them to disappear from view before following them.

"So what did you make for us" Aether asked sitting down by the kitchen bench, tapping his hands against the marble like it was some sort of drum.

"Miso soup" Lumine answered sliding a bowl over to her brother, with a spoon following close behind.

"Is it still hot" Aether questioned looking at the steam-less dish

"Yeah" Lumine replied bringing her own bowl of soup to her lips, taking a large sip before sitting next to Aether. The two enjoyed their food in silence eating away at the freshly made soup, before eventually being joined by Hawks who took a bowl out of the cupboard dishing up some of the soup and joined the twins at the table and interrupting their silence.

"I assume you were able to finish it" Hawks asked placing his spoon down next to his bowl, a closed eye smile spreading over his face as he tilted his head to face Lumine.

"Yes" Lumine replied bluntly giving off the impression that she just wanted to enjoy her food in silence, but her silence was short lived as her brother soon started a conversation with the bird man.

"What with the giant bird wings Keigo, can't you put them away somehow, and if not, doesn't it get annoying when you try and sleep?" Aether exclaimed pointing out the decently sized crimson wings behind the man's back, while the feather he had been given the other day, lay peacefully beside him. Keigo expression relaxed a bit before replying to Aethers question.
