Chapter fifteen

(one-on-one battles final round)

The next two matches where Idia vs Tokoyami and Kirishima vs Bakugo, and afterwards the semi-finals had finally been decided. Match one of the Semi-finals was Bakugo vs Tokoyami, with match two being Lumine vs Todoroki.

"Match one of the Semi-finals! From the Hero course, the hot headed recking ball, Katsuki Bakugo! Versus-- From the hero course, the King of shadows, Fumikage Tokoyami!" Mic presented, as Midnight initiated the match.

"Bakugo's rush is unstoppable!" Present Mic commentated, as Bakugo attacked Dark shadow directly with an overwhelming rush of explosions, causing Dark shadow to shrink down.

"Tokoyami has advanced this far with his almost invincible Quirk, but this time the king of Shadows seems to be completely stuck on the defense!" Mic's voice boomed, as Bakugo continued his relentless attack slowly pushing Tokoyami towards out of bounds area.

"Tokoyami, what's going on? You attacked so much when you were up against us!" Mina complained, visibly annoyed and confused as to why her classmate wasn't taking a chance to attack.

"It's pretty obvious, isn't it?" Lumine sighed, relaxing back in her seat and chowing down on a stick of Dango. "Dark Shadow can't switch to offensive with the light from the explosions. It's the absolute worst match up Toko could've gotten. Well that or fighting Todoroki, which wouldn't have gone any better" Lumine added, pointing a finger down towards the arena.

"The real worst" Uraraka echoed, her voice shaky.

"The weakness he shared with us... If kacchan doesn't know about it yet, then he still has a chance" Midoriya added, catching Lumine's attention.

Lumine leaned down in between them and answered, "I hate to break it to you but it's a tad obvious he's figured it out-! Hey!" Aether pulled Lumine by the neck of her collar stopping her mid-sentence. "Would you stop doing that sis. It's a real let down" Aether sighed, pulling on his sisters ear.

"Well, it's not my fault they're seeking comfort in false hope" Lumine murmured, crossing her arms in annoyance, barely noticing that her Dango stick had fallen on the ground. Meanwhile Uraraka and Midoriya found themselves distracted by the twins bickering, their attention falling back on the ongoing match when a cloud of ash and smoke started to rise from the field.

"Tokoyami gives up! Bakugo wins!"

"With this, the first match of the Semi-finals has been decided! With one more match up to go before the grand finale." Present Mic confirmed, stirring up anticipation for the second last match of the  U.A. sports Festival.

"It's too bad about Tokoyami..."

"I thought Tokoyami would win."

"I guess this means he isn't invincible."

"H-Hey wait. Lumine aren't you up in the next match?" Midoriya explained, looking back at the twins. Lumine was currently complaining about her lost Dango and Aether unsuccessfully trying to re-direct her attention back to the festival. By some "force" Lumine heard Midoriya's comment "Oh yeah- I should get going, shouldn't I?" Lumine hummed up from her seat and walked off towards the stadium hallways. Escaping momentarily with the intention of distracting herself.

Lumine walked through the stadium hallways, in no obvious rush to get to the field. "I have plenty of time..." Lumine thought to herself, the repetitiveness of the silvery hallways dulled her mood. Eventually Lumine reached the end of the hall the Arena in sight, but soon she couldn't move her entire body was cold-- frozen in place, unable to move she started too panic. Till a weightless voice, not of her own, entered her mind and attempted to calm her down.
