Chapter ten

"Thus is a follow-up report on yesterday's incident at the U.A. rescue training facility where hero course students were attacked by villains. According to police investigations, the criminals call themselves 'The league of villains'"

"Urgh, turn that off would you, I really don't want to hear about some trick ponies who decided to attacks a group of high school students. You'd think they'd do something more proactive and influential as Villains" Lumine complained, taking the remote from Aether's hands, switching it from the news channel. "It all happened yesterday, and they're still revieing it online" Lumine sighed, the annoyance apparent in her tone as she sat back down with her tea.

"Who can blame them, I mean. A hero course class , during one of their classes." Aether added, his attention switching between his sister and the channel she had switched to. Lumine rested her head back, looking up at the blank ceiling, mind blank as the morning drowsiness started to fade. Soon a familiar voice interrupted her peaceful moment.

"Are you guys ready to head out yet? I'll be taking you guys out for a bit" Keigo proclaimed, his voice echoing down the hallway and into the kitchen. Lumine grumbled as she slid herself further back into the chair.

"Yeah! We're ready! But why are we heading out? Especially so late in the evening." As soon as Aether finished his question, Keigo came out from the hallway, slightly pre-occupied by his phone, but in his usual upbeat mood. He wasn't wearing his hero costume either, rather a plain black t-shirt with long sleeves and loose denim shorts, a blank dog tag hung around his neck with a pair of sunglasses perched on his head.

"You're not in you Hero costume?" Aether inquired, curious towards Keigo's change in attire, as the two of them met each other's gaze. Suddenly a loud shattering noise broke the short silence as everyone's attention moved towards Lumine.

"wasn't me was this idiot" Lumine protested dryly, stepping aside to bring the small abyss mage floating behind her, it's expression both shocked and embarrassed despite the lack of a face.

"Princess please, do not be upset about such an accident. If her highness wishes I will fix it for you immediately" The Abyss mage replied, the broken pieces of glass floated around in a ball of hydro. Keigo simply stared at the strange creature confused while Aether help back from drawing his sword.

"Not the problem right now Fifi, I called for a mage some time ago now, and only now one appears" Lumine adds, her demeanour cold and authoritative, however her tone was subtle and the exact opposite of harsh. The hydro abyss mage grumbled something incoherently to itself, while Aether and Keigo looked back and forth at each other confused.

"My apologies your highness, but it was quite hard to find you through the ley lines, when your in a completely different world" Fifi started, before being interrupted by Aether.

"There are Ley lines here? And they work?" Aether questioned, taking the mage by the shoulders, as his figure towered over the small figure. Fifi summoned a hydro bubble around Aether trapping him within it, before pushing the boy off him. Keigo quickly caught the bubble and helped Aether by attempting to pull him out.

"Un like her highness, I have no reason to answer to you. On another note now that I've located the princess I will be able to inform the Herald of your location." Fifi answered turning its gaze towards Lumine who was completely ignoring the mages words and was happily watching Aether struggle out of the Hydro bubble. The mage sighed, disappearing in a flash of stars after leaving a small stone tablet on a nearby table, few words engraved within it.
