Rosalie enjoyed her and Amos's lovely time out to Hogsmeade. When it was just the two of them, it made her realize why she fell so hard for him. His kindness, his humor, he's a gentleman, he's caring. She felt his love, but she questioned if she loved him. She wanted to love him. She knew he wasn't perfect, but he seemed close to it.

They spent the chilling evening walking into the shoppes. They ended the night by sitting by the fireplace and drinking a butterbeer in the Three Broomsticks. The two of them were laughing and exchanging childhood memories when Amos gazed into Rosalie's eyes. The cracking sound of fire and the orange light reflected in his green eyes as he pulled a small box out of his coat pocket. Rose could tell he was nervous and raised a questioning eyebrow.

"I wanted to give this to you before we leave tomorrow," he stuttered.

"Now, I'm curious," she giggled.

Amos took a deep breath and revealed what the small box contained.

Rosalie gasped.

"It's not an heirloom, but I thought this suited you better."

Amos took the thin gold bracelet out of the box and held it up to place on Rose's wrist.

"It's engraved," Amos commented.

"What does it say?"

"'Promesse.' It means 'promise' in French," Amos chuckled nervously and placed it on her left wrist. "I know it's nothing extraordinary."

"No, my love. It's beautiful! I love it," she smiled.

"So, this is my promise to you. Do you promise me?"

"Promise you what?" she asked, confused.

"That we'll always be each other's."

Rosalie was taken aback. She's thought about her future, and now, she always assumed he would be there. The thought of spending forever with him made her happy. But there was something in her mind that was conflicting with her heart.

"Uh, yes. I promise," she stuttered.

Amos gently grabbed her cheeks and kissed her passionately. Her feelings for him were strong. He was safe, stable, and easy. So, why did she have to second guess herself? Why was it so hard to come to terms with she should be with him?

Amos pulled away from their kiss and he laid his forehead onto hers.

"I actually have a little something for you as well," she smiled.

"Oh, my dear, you didn't have to buy me a present."

"Of course I did!"

Rosalie reached into her coat pocket and pulled out a small blue box with a white bow on top.

"It's not as great as yours, but I do think you'll like it."

Amos smirked and opened the box. It was a pair of Ravenclaw blue cufflinks with his family crest emboldened in silver.
