Rosalie woke slowly and peacefully on her living room couch. The smell of burning wood filled her nose. As her eyes wandered over the empty coffee table and the burning fire, she tried to recall the events of the early morning hoping it wasn't a cruel, vivid dream.

'He was home,' she told herself.

But if he was here this morning, then where was he now?

Rosalie sat herself up on the couch, tossing the blanket off of her body when she heard soft noises coming from the kitchen. She began walking towards them; a sweetened scent began filling her nose.

Sebastian was standing in front of her oven, hovering over the opened door as he was baking. Willow was sitting right at his feet.

"What are you up to?" Rosalie asked, startling him.

Sebastian's body jolted. He didn't know she had been approaching him. Let alone, awake.

"Good morning, Rosie," he smiled at her from over his shoulder. "I was trying to surprise you..."

"Surprise me with what?" she flushed and walked closer.

Rosalie took a quick glance inside the over; it looked like a pile of rising dough in a bread pan. A small cheeky smile found its way onto her lips.

"I actually never got to make you banana bread before I left," Sebastian said shyly as he closed the oven door, trying to hide his glowing red cheeks.

"Seb, you've been gone for over two years. I'm the one who should be making you breakfast!" she exclaimed as she playfully pushed his arm.

"Well, I beat you to it this morning," he teased.

"Fine, but I'm helping," she replied as she leaned against the counter.

"You can stand there all you want, but you're not helping me," he chuckled.

"Whatever you say, Sallow," she shrugged. "What are your plans for today?"

"Our plans are to go surprise my sister."

Rosalie's cheeks became hot. Our. Over two years have passed and he waltzes right back into her life as if they never missed a step. How could he be such a changed man but also be the same person she's always known? It didn't matter how much time had passed, Rosalie's feelings for Sebastian never faded.

"So, I was your first stop?" Rose smirked at the realization.

"Of course you were!" Sebastian exclaimed. "I hopped right off the train and immediately came here. Even in the dark, I could tell Cragcroft hasn't changed much."

Rose chuckled, "You're right. It's the same as it's always been. The only thing that changed was you leaving. It felt... empty. Don't misunderstand me; Cragcroft has always felt like home, and I missed it dearly when I was staying in London, but it didn't feel the same," she sighed. "But you're back now."

"Yes, for now... hopefully." Sebastian was silent for a moment. "I just hope it cures her."

A heavy weight overcame them as they pondered the questions of the unknown.

"It will work, Seb," she reassured. "Even if it doesn't, which it will, I still think you should pursue becoming a Healer."

Sebastian smiled to himself as he opened the over door to check the banana bread; he began fanning away the hot air that hit him. "I truly am thinking about it, but if it doesn't work, it makes leaving harder... And I don't want to leave again." He paused for a moment as he shut the oven door again. "Well, I do, but I also don't. I want to become a Healer. I want to help people. But I don't want to leave."
