Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - O Children

Eleazar James Sallow—the eldest child of the Sallow's—sat in the garden of his aunt and uncle's home with his cousin David Howard Pedersen II—the second child of the Pedersen's. Edward Lee Pedersen—the third and youngest child of the Pedersen's—was off causing wreckage with Eloise Amelia Sallow—the second and youngest of the Sallow children—down by the rocky coast.

Eleazar and David were close in age, and they were brought up together more in the sense of siblings. Along with Eloise and Edward; the four of them shared a closer bond than most families, but they have always lived across the pathway from each other. They were also close with the Gaunt children; Klaus Matthias—the third child—and Janine Wren—the fourth and youngest child. The six of them always seemed to have a sense for trouble. All of them were sorted into the Slytherin house except for Eloise—she was sorted into Hufflepuff—but she was the most mischievous out of all of them.

The eldest of the Pedersen family and the second eldest of the Gaunt family—Helena Rose Pedersen and Leona May Gaunt—tend to stick together these days. They were heading to start their Seventh-Year at Hogwarts after the summer, and most of the time, they pretended they were too old to spend time with their younger family.

The eldest of the Gaunt family, Esther Rosella, had started pursuing a career in Alchemy after graduating this year from Hogwarts. Her holiday was nonexistent as she immediately began her work after the commencement ceremony.

The summer heat rays beat down onto Eleazar and David as they sat in the garden tossing small pebbles to each other—journals, quills, and ink vials scattered on the dusty ground.

"What trouble are we expecting to get into this year?" David asked as he tossed the pebble.

Eleazar huffed as he tossed the small rocks at his feet. "Probably not much. With mother being a professor and father being the Healer at the castle, I highly doubt I can get away with anything."

"I didn't know Uncle Sebastian accepted the position," David replied, shocked.

Eleazar nodded his head, "He accepted it last night. He sent the owl to Scamander this morning."

"Ugh," David groaned, "I do not look forward to another year quite honestly. Why can't we just stay home and do nothing all of the time?"

"Because some of us have goals in life," Eleazar snickered.

David flashed him a foul gesture with his hand. "At least we have Quidditch," he commented positively. "We're the best Beater duo the school has to offer."

"I'll say," Eleazar returned before a silent moment settled over them. "Dee," he started after a moment. "As we get older, do you feel your magic becoming... stronger?"

David flashed him a quizzical expression. "What do you mean, Zar?"

"I don't know," Eleazar quietly scoffed. "I can't seem to put it into words, but it feels like my magic is growing. Gaining strength, I suppose."
