Sahil rushed Nat to the hospital after he fainted at the ice-cream shop, a wave of panic gripped him unlike anything he had experienced before. Every fiber of his being urged him to protect Nat, a person he had only met a few days ago. In the hospital, Sahil, now in his element as a doctor, commanded the nurses to give Nat their utmost attention, his fear of losing him palpable in the air.

Meanwhile, Sahil's close friend, Doctor James, observed his distress and approached him quietly. "Sahil, what happened? I've never seen you so shaken," James inquired, clearly evident in his voice.

Taking a deep breath, Sahil recounted the events leading to Nat's collapse. He spoke of their brief encounter at the ice-cream shop, the urgency to get Nat to safety, and the overwhelming fear that had consumed him throughout the ordeal.

James listened intently, nodding as Sahil spoke. "You care deeply for this young man, Sahil. It's evident in your actions," James remarked softly, placing a reassuring hand on his friend's shoulder. you should go back in and he might wake up anytime soon.

As Nat gradually regained consciousness, Sahil stayed by his side, offering comfort and support. Ping, Nat's best friend, approached Nat's bedside with a mixture of relief and concern. "Nat, you scared us all," Ping said, his voice tinged with worry.

Nat, still feeling weak, looked at Ping with tear-filled eyes. "I'm sorry, Ping. I didn't mean to cause you any worry," he whispered hoarsely.Ping shook his head gently. "No apologies needed, Nat. Sahil here has been a godsend.

He's been by your side the whole time, making sure you're okay," Ping said, casting a grateful glance at Sahil.

Nat's eyes widened in surprise as he turned to Sahil, gratitude flooding his features. "Thank you, Sahil. I don't know what I would have done without you," Nat said, his voice trembling with emotion. Sahil smiled softly, his own emotions threatening to overwhelm him. "You're welcome, Nat. Just focus on getting better," he replied, his voice gentle. So I have a few patients waiting for me at the ward I will be back to check on you later make sure you eat well and don't worry about the hospital bills it's already covered, okay, Sahil said to Nat. Nat nodded and once again said thanks to Sahil.

After sahil left the room Nat turned to his bestie. As the conversation turned lighter, Ping couldn't help but tease Nat gently. "You know, Nat, Sahil here might be your guardian angel. Perhaps it's time you gave someone a chance to love," Ping joked, trying to lift Nat's spirits.

Nat's laughter mingled with tears as memories of his past flooded back. "It's not that simple, Ping. You know what happened to me," Nat whispered, his voice cracking with emotion.Ping's expression softened, understanding dawning in his eyes. "I remember that night, Nat. I remember how broken you were," Ping said quietly, his heart aching for his friend.

After crying together with his best friend, ping helped Nat to  sleep. He  went to the bathroom to freshen up but he couldn't help remembering the pain in his bestie's eyes a while ago, as the memories of that night flashed in his mind.

PING flash back

Ping's heart raced as he answered the call from an unknown number, the night cloaked in darkness around him. The trembling voice on the other end pierced through the silence, pleading for help. With a sinking feeling in his chest, Ping listened as Nat whispered between sobs his location before the line abruptly went dead.

Without a moment's hesitation, Ping sprang into action, his hands trembling as he fumbled for his keys. Racing to his car, he drove with urgency, the road illuminated only by the dim glow of streetlights. As he reached the location Nat had mentioned, his worst fears were confirmed.

There, lying amidst the bushes, was Nat, his body battered and bruised, stripped of his dignity. Ping's heart shattered as he took in the sight before him, the reality of the situation hitting him like a sledgehammer. He knelt beside his friend, his hands trembling with anger and grief.

Gently lifting Nat into his arms, Ping carried him to the car, his mind racing with thoughts of how to help his friend. But Nat's refusal to go to the hospital left Ping with no choice but to seek help elsewhere. With determination etched on his face, Ping drove to his uncle's(retired doctor) house, his heart heavy with the weight of the secret they now shared.

Upon reaching his uncle's doorstep, Ping pleaded with him to help Nat, to keep their visit a secret from everyone And though his uncle's expression was grave, his eyes filled with understanding, he agreed to do whatever it took to aid his nephew's friend in the time of need.

For the next few days, Ping and Nat stayed holed up in his uncle's home, their presence shrouded in secrecy. As they nursed Nat back to health, Ping couldn't shake the feeling of anger and helplessness that gnawed at his soul.
