Nat's sleep was interrupted by the haunting echoes of a recurring nightmare, yet this time, it felt different. The shadows that danced in his dreams seemed more vivid, more menacing, as if the specter of his assailant lingered just beyond his reach.

Gasping for air, Nat fought to shake off the remnants of the nightmare, his heart pounding in his chest. Gradually, as the fog of fear began to lift, he found himself enveloped in a different kind of ache—one that pulsed with the weight of unspoken truths and tangled emotions.

He started thinking about Sahil, a very handsome, caring and loving doctor,he unknowingly started smiling, but immediately stopped as his mind reminds him that Sahil is  too far from his reach and even though he might not care about his poverty but definitely he won't be with a ruined man.

As Sahil arrived at Nat's house, anticipation thrummed through his veins, eager to begin the day with his Nate. Yet, his excitement quickly turned to confusion as he learned that Nat had already departed, to work.

Frowning in puzzlement, Sahil made his way back to his car, only to spot Nat's best friend, Ping, approaching on his motorbike. Without hesitation, Sahil called out to him, curiosity lacing his tone.

"Hey, Ping! What are you doing here? Where's Nat?" Sahil inquired, his brow furrowing with concern.

Ping's expression mirrored Sahil's confusion as he replied, "Oh, Doctor! I was just about to ask you the same thing. Nat called me last night, asking me to pick him up early. I was surprised because I remember you telling him you would come. But I didn't want to question him too much, so I just agreed. However, I got delayed with some errands this morning, and now I'm five minutes late. I can't believe he left without waiting for me."

Sahil nodded in understanding, his mind swirling with a myriad of questions. "I see. Well, let's not dwell on it now. I'll drop you off at work," Sahil suggested, offering a reassuring smile.

As they rode together in Sahil's car, a sense of unease lingered in the air, overshadowing their conversation. Despite Sahil's attempts to mask his thoughts, his gaze kept drifting towards the horizon, why didn't Nathaniel wait for him? Did he do something wrong last night? Why is he avoiding me.

As they reached Ping's workplace, Sahil's mind buzzed with unresolved queries. "Ping, could I have your phone number? I'd like to have a chat with you later, just to clear up a few things. It'll be purely professional," Sahil requested, his voice tinged with determination.

Ping readily agreed, exchanging phone numbers with Sahil before bidding him farewell. Left alone in the car, Sahil watched ping going into the shop, then he saw Nat from afar, he looked stressed and saddened but he didn't want to bother him so he decided to talk to ping first when they meet . Maybe he could get a glimpse of Nats problems.

With a sigh, Sahil resolved to uncover the truth, determined to unravel the enigma that surrounded Nat's actions. Little did he know that his quest for answers would lead him down a path fraught with unexpected twists and turns.
