Riley had been serving drinks all afternoon, cleaning up messes all over the table and bar while hearing men saying dirty jokes behind her back. She'd never really been to Molly's during the afternoon and she had to admit that the clients were very different. They usually went at night, after the officers, detectives, doctors, nurses and firefighters were done with their shifts. She and Jay had been undercover for a little over a week, trying to gather enough information on Arthur to keep the plan moving.

Jay had infiltrated his team, so he'd been working the case a little closer than they thought they would. He told Arthur he could charm one of the bartenders at Molly's, manipulate her into telling him what their real revenue was or whatever - without him knowing that the bartender was actually his wife. Jay knew Arthur was watching, making sure he was truly doing what he said he was. So Jay and Riley had been going on a couple of dates throughout the time they'd been undercover - keeping up their cover.

They both felt really good about it. Their routine was still obviously all over the place, but they felt themselves slowly getting back to normal - dealing with their shit. It felt right and normal, it was much needed for the couple.

Later that night, Riley and Gabby were standing next to each other cleaning glasses and speaking among themselves. The door opened and closed as Riley laughed at something Gaby said, raising her head up as someone sat in front of them. A smirk tugged at her lips, her head tilted to the side. "Hey, handsome."

"Hey, beautiful." The handsome tall blue eyed guy smiled back at her, grabbing the beer Gaby had just poured him. He took a sip, swallowing it down before looking back between the two of them, "I was told I should take one of you out on a date tonight. So, who's the lucky girl?"

Gaby and Riley looked at each other and Riley shrugged before answering, "Meh, I don't know. He's not really my type. You?" She asked Gaby, a smirk now evident on her lips.

Gaby smirked as well, offering a shrug. "He's not my type either." Jay playfully rolled his eyes at their response, "I think we'll pass."

"Funny. Hilarious." Jay answered sarcastically, bringing his glass back to his lips once again.

Riley offered a dramatic sigh, "I guess I could take one for the team and do it."

"So generous." Jay mumbled, his lips tugged upwards.

Gaby dramatically put her hand on her chest and the other on Riley's shoulder, "Thank you so much for doing this, I don't think I can handle a night with a guy like him." She joked, winking at both of them.

"I wouldn't say that if I were you because, you know-" Jay started, only to be cut off by Riley slapping his hand. "Ow!" He exclaimed, laughing it off.

"Don't take the joke too far, Halstead." She warned, pointing at him. He laughed, taking another sip of his beer and as he glanced away Riley turned towards Gaby, "He's right though." She whispered, to which Gaby answered by nodding and laughing at her. It was ironic because they both knew what a real night with Jay Halstead looked like - but it was not to be discussed again.
