I still have the ring on my finger. I fiddle with it. I ponder his offer some more. I can't stop thinking about it. It has been two weeks since the battle. Two weeks since I saw Sidon. The ring summons his avatar, but it's not him, still helpful in battle though. Yesterday, I went and completed some shrines to gather some Lights of Blessing. I have regained health and stamina, but I'm still building up my strength so I can wipe out the pirates of Lurelin Village. I heard about it from a villager outside a Skyveiw tower. I have done some of those too. But I also helped the Rito with their blizzard. I should probably go back to visit Sidon. It's been a while.
Sidon:
I miss my tiny Hylian. I get that he had to go save Hyrule, but so soon? It still pains me that he didn't take my marriage offer, but I get his reasoning. Maybe I do have a gay problem. For two weeks I have been looking after Zora's Domain as their king, but I still haven't found the courage to officially tell Yona about my feelings for Link. Then I feel some water droplets on my face. Am I crying? Nope. That's not possible. It's raining. As if I could be anymore depressed right now.
"Hey Sidon!" I here a voice in the distance. I look behind me and sure enough, Link is running towards me in the rain. I sprint towards him and scoop him swiftly off his feet. The rain is pouring harder, but I don't care. I feel his lips against mine. We close our eyes. We are right at the entrance of Zora's Domain, but I don't care who sees us.
"I missed you." I whisper to Link
"Shh... your interrupting our moment." Link replies. He is right. We have to savor this moment. But before we can continue, we both hear an intense stomping. Link looks over my shoulder. "Uh... Sidon..." Before he can continue, I get slapped in the back of the head. Out of utter shock I drop Link and spin around to face... Yona. Oh shit.
"WHAT THE FUCKING HELL SIDON!!?!? HITTING ON LINK ARE YOU?! RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING!"
"Well," Link dusts himself of as he gets back to his feet. "We just-" He can't finish is thought before Yona spots his ring. She takes a deep breath, points at it, puts a very forced smile on her face, and looks me in the eye.
"S-Sidon, wha- what in the name of Hylia is th- that." Tears form in her large eyes. They are barely noticeable against the rain.
"It's... a ring." I struggle to get the words out of my mouth. I never loved Yona, but she is still a good friend, and I care about her.
"Just that?" More tears are running down her cheeks.
I take a deep breath, "Well... It was going to be a marriage ring, but now it's more of a simple gift." Link nods at me in approval.
Then he starts to speak. "Well, about that..."
