Sofía's POV:

As I walked down the stands, I noticed Tedros' look on me. I could tell he was surprised by my challenge, I didn't know if he was underestimating me because I was a girl, a Never, or an apparent Never who almost looked like an Ever. Perhaps all of it at the same time.

The cyclops got out of the way as I reached his place. He was mad he couldn't take him out by himself and didn't seem sure that I could either. The music that was sounding when the Ever boys came in had stopped, but I knew my favourite songs by heart, so I made them play out loud for everyone's surprise. It was different than any music they had ever heard, I particularly started playing "Monster" by Skillet. It wasn't something I usually listened to, but I felt it was perfect for my plans. I had always liked singing and dancing, and I had practiced yesterday and it seemed like I had a natural talent to do both whilst fighting. Seemed like a nice time to try it out. It wasn't conventional, no, but it was going to prove useful with the song. I put first a safety spell on the sides of the hall, before the stands and the scenario, to keep the students and staff protected. We didn't want to start the term with a dead body, did we?

The part of the song with the lyrics began, and I started singing at the same time I threw a fireball at Tedros. He wasn't expecting any of it, so it almost took him down on the first try. But that wasn't my intention. The song had a message, a message Tedros needed to hear. I started dancing around him, but it was not normal dancing. I was doing it to avoid his attacks, whilst I would throw different types of spells at him, my eyes opened wide as if I were going crazy. Everybody noticed it, and the Nevers started yelling, euphoric. I took a quick glimpse at Lady Lesso and she seemed surprised, though intrigued. But I was singing a different version of the facts than they were hearing.

"The secret side of me, I never let you see
I keep it caged, but I can't control it
So stay away from me
The beast is ugly
I feel the rage, and I just can't hold it
It's scratching on the walls
In the closet, in the halls
It comes awake, and I can't control it
Hiding under the bed
In my body, in my head
Why won't somebody come and save me from this?
Make it end. "

Tedros seemed to notice the lyrics and looked at me confused, checking again at my dress and how distressed my face looked. The Nevers also stopped cheering, concerned. Dovey's face showed surprise and happiness whilst Lesso was visibly confused. I told her I was going to impress her, not betray her. Now, I had changed my acting. I stopped being the Evil witch Tedros was facing. Now, I tried to look as if I was fighting whatever had possessed me at first, whilst I continued into the chorus of the song.

"I feel it deep within
It's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I hate what I've become
The nightmare's just begun
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster." I sang, remarking the fact that I "hated what I'd become. "

I still attacked him, of course, but I would look scared after each attack. After a while he stopped wanting to attack me at all, and just concentrated on dodging my attacks. When I got to the second chorus, he was already in too deep.

"You can fight it, ok? You don't have to be like tha. It's obvious you're in the wrong School. You don't want to do it, you were probably just told it was what you had to do! But I can see the pain in your eyes each time you attack, I can see it's hurting you to hurt others, so please, fight back!"

I pretended that those words shocked me, and I stood still for a second, still singing, but I was getting to the last verse, precisely when I wanted to. I fell to the floor, on my knees, and I raised a hand towards him.

"Please..." I begged in between the lines. My eyes watered, almost crying. He doubted at first, but then he approached, sword still in hand. As he took mine, I sang the last lines of the song but changed the lyrics. "I, I feel like a monster, I, I am a fucking monster." I said in a deep voice and whilst his eyes opened wide in surprise, I took him to the floor with me, stole his sword and made a deep diagonal cut on his chest, before putting his own sword, Excalibur, against his throat.
