𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗹𝗳 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀

𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀.

A pack of witches was murdered in the Bayou that night and Sophie was planning on going which led to Adalyn following Sophie to the cemetery as she wanted to go with and see what happened.

"Hey, what the hell?" Sophie questioned as Adalyn grabbed her arm

"You're going out there anyway, aren't you? I wanna go with you," Adalyn stated while crossing her arms

"No, thanks I already got assaulted by Klaus this morning and I don't need a repeat," Sophie scolded with an eye roll

"What if whatever is responsible for all those dead witches is still out there? We've already established that it likes me and hates witches, so you'll be safer with me," Adalyn responded with a knowing look

"Sorry if I'm not buying your sudden concern for my safety," Sophie remarked before Adalyn stopped her again

"Your sister's the one that told me Marcel ran the werewolves out of the Quarter, into the bayou, and, last night, I'm pretty sure that some guardian angel-wolf saved my life so, I'm coming with you," Adalyn stated looking Sophie in the eyes

"Could you two be more idiotic? Two can play the follow-game, you know! You heard Klaus, he and Marcel are headed right where you're going," Rebekah scolded as she walked in

"So distract them because unless you wanna see lock a hormonal, pregnant werewolf in a tomb, I'm coming with you, and wouldn't Elijah be mad if he heard that the baby and I died of asphyxiation?" Adalyn remarked knowing she had won

They had reached the Bayou where they had started to look for the dead witches, They knew that Klaus wasn't going to be happy about it but Adalyn needed to get out of the house and into the fresh air and away from all the pain.

"So, this Harvest thingy, tell me more," Rebekah spoke as they walked

"Klaus said to wait," Sophie reminded before Rebekah scoffed

"Yes but he also said to stay out of the bayou and yet here we are, amongst the crawly, buzzy creatures," Rebekah countered to the witch

"We're here," Adalyn stated as they stopped walking

"Is that a wolf track?" Sophie asked looking at the ground

"Who's there?" Rebekah called out as they heard footsteps

"What the hell? An Original?" Thomas asked before speeding away

"Welp looks like our little field trip is about to be cut short," Adalyn remarked looking at the girls

Klaus had ended up calling Rebekah which led her to speed away leaving Adalyn and Sophie alone to talk. Adalyn couldn't help but let her mind wonder what Sabine said about her kids and what they would bring to the world.

"Those people, all this, because of a vision about my babies, you don't think is true?" Adalyn asked in a soft voice

"Look, I love Sabine, but she's the witch equivalent of a drama queen. I've learned to take little stock in whatever she says or sees just kinda wish she'd kept her mouth shut," Sophie admitted with a sigh

"The Harvest ritual. You said you didn't believe in it, were you right?" Adalyn questioned some more

"No, I saw it with my own eyes, it was working and it was real," Sophie stated before Adalyn nodded

"So, how can you be so sure Sabine's vision isn't?" Adalyn asked the woman

Sophie shrugged her shoulders before Adalyn had gone back to the house, she was sitting in her room reading her books when Klaus came into the room and sat down next to her. She had been thinking about everything since she had come home.

"I heard what Sabine said about them," Adalyn admitted to the man

"What they said doesn't matter," Klaus spoke as she shook her head

"It does though, they've just made so many enemies before they're even born," Adalyn spoke as her voice cracked

"I won't let anything happen to them," Klaus stated as he looked at her

"I see your face when you listen to their heartbeats, you love them," Adalyn stated to the hybrid

"I'm gonna keep them safe," Klaus added before she nodded

"I have no doubt," Adalyn agreed as she laid her head on him

"Mystic Falls wasn't a mistake," Klaus commented making her chuckle

"Thanks to that night we've got two babies on the way," Adalyn joked with a smile

"A fun little mess, it seems," Klaus spoke making her nod

"I've been thinking about baby names, I haven't been able to come up with any girl names but Eljah told me some stories and I was thinking about Henrik for the boy," Adalyn admitted looking up at him

"Henrik?" Klaus questioned some more

"Yeah, and I want their first initials to match which is why I've been struggling with the baby girl's name," Adalyan explained some more

Klaus didn't say anything besides a nod, she smiled and laid back down. He smiled softly at himself at the thought of naming his baby boy after his late brother, he carried her to her bedroom before tucking her into her bed so she wouldn't be cold.
