𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗹𝗳 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀

𝗧𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘆-𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗻𝗲𝗱.

Adalyn was spending the day with Hayley as she was still mad at Klaus but she also missed how they used to be, they were walking out of the house when they saw another broomstick which led them to find Jackson for some answers.

"Uh, why do people keep leaving broomsticks on the porch? Seeing as I'm not much of a sweep while the soup's cooking kind of gal," Hayley remarked looking at the werewolf

"Well, back in the day, it wasn't easy getting a preacher out here so, if you were engaged, and you couldn't wait then the community would let you jump the broom," Jackson explained to the woman

"Couldn't wait for what?" Hayley asked as they gave her a look

"So, what are you working on?" Adalyn questioned as she changed the subject

"Oh, I started on this for your little kids when you lived here before and now that they are alive, I figured it was time to finish it," Jackson explained to the girl

"They are beautiful," Adalyn chimed with a smile

"Something else, I'm getting word from a few packs outside of Louisiana and they wanna be here for the wedding and they want in on the Unification ritual," Jackson explained looking at Hayley

"I thought the ritual only affected the powers of the wolves in our pack?" Hayley questioned out of confusion

"Unless they recognize me as their Alpha then your power becomes their power," Jackson explained some more

"You think their Alphas will step down and bow to you?" Adalyn asked the man

"They're coming here today to do just that and want what you have, Hayley. I mean, we all do. I mean, a couple of weeks after the wedding, Adalyn, you are going to have one hell of an army to protect your kids," Jackson spoke with a smile

"Marcel, what brings you out here?" Hayley asked the man

"Okay, remember our friendship when I tell you why I'm here but Finn sent me to get your blood," Marcel stated looking at Adalyn

"Why would Finn want my blood?" Adalyn questioned out of confusion

"I assume he needs it for a locator spell to find your kids," Marcel admitted with a sigh

"How does he know?" Hayley asked with narrow eyes

"He put two and two together," Marcel explained to them

"Where's Finn now?" Adayn asked with worry

"I don't know, he said he'd tell me where to meet him later but listen, I gotta give him something and he's killing one of my guys every hour until he gets it," Marcel added as Adalyn nodded her head

"Klaus said it was all just a plan to keep us distracted and he's going after them, I have to get there," Adalyn stated in fear before rushing off

"Whoa, wait! You said so yourself, it's six hours away and Finn's already there," Marcel stated as he followed her

"I can't just stand here and do nothing, Marcel," Adalyn stated with a plea

"You listen to me, there is no way that Elijah is gonna let anything happen to your babies today so, go help Jackson build the army that'll help keep her safe tomorrow," Marcel spoke before she nodded

"Henry and Hope will be alright and Elijah will protect them, I know it but Jack, this stuff, these attacks, they're only going to get worse so we need to get married as soon as possible," Hayley spoke looking at the man

Adalyn sighed out in worry before heading back home, she wanted to be close to Klaus incase something happened with Finn, the sun had gone down so she was a bit more relaxed when Klaus walked into their room.

"Finn is gone and the twins are safe," Klaus spoke making her smile

"Gone? You mean dead?" Adalyn questioned while watching him

"Blown up but Cami's car stopped working just before it had blown up," Klaus explained with a sigh

"You think the twins had something to do with it?" Adalyn questioned some more

"All I know right now, I just wanna lay down with you while you read," Klaus admitted causing her to smile

"Okay, come sit down and I'll start reading," Adalyn joked with the Hybrid

"Everything is going to be okay," Klaus mumbled as he laid down

"I know that you'll protect us, no matter what," Adalyn agreed looking over at him

Nothing was said after that but they both knew what it had meant, Adalyn started to play with his hair as she read which something she did a lot while reading. Klaus had missed her presence, he missed her completely so this was calming for him. He was at peace.
