Armana Frauleins
I don't like the atmosphere. Right now, I'm sitting in front of two men. My father and my brother. Their faces are telling me that the matter they want to discuss, is serious. Probably my marriage. Should I act surprise?
"My daughter, I really have an important thing to discuss with you. I believe, you'll listen to your father well and take the right decision." Father said.
I smiled and replied, "Of course, father. I wouldn't want to disappoint you."
"This is about your..." He paused. "Marriage."
"What?!" Sol shouted. "I knew this was coming. You planned yesterday's banquet because of this isn't it, father?"
"Sol, calm down. Let me finish." Father said.
This is all so funny to me, probably because I already know what's this about and somehow, Sol being overprotective of me seems a bit exciting. I've always wanted an older sister or a brother who would protect me but unfortunately I was the only unwanted child.
"So, yesterday, you've met the North Emperor right?" Father asked me.
"What?!" Sol repeated the same question. "You're making my dear sister married to an old married man who has a child older than me? Where is your conscience, father?" Sol shouted this time.
I couldn't control my laugh so I burst out laughing, "I don't know where this is going but Sol, can you please calm down?" I chuckled.
"Alright." Sol folded his arms and leaned on the couch.
"So, the North Emperor and I had made a proposal of you and his son's marriage." He informed.
I think I have to act surprised now. I widened my eyes for him to see I'm surprised.
Sol spoke again in a harsh tone, "What?!"
Is it me or my brother here only know how to say one word?
"Father, You cannot just decide Armana's future without telling her!" Sol yelled.
"I did. Didn't I?" Father looked at Sol innocently.
Gosh. I love them so much.
"Telling her right after you decided the matter with the North Emperor is not it!" Sol shouted again.
He sighed, "I had no choice! Do you even know, our Empire would've destroyed if they were our opponent? They have the king, his son who doesn't even think twice before killing and The crazy Duke, who doesn't bow to anyone but his sword."
"You're sending Armana to a place like this? A place full of criminals?" Sol raised his brow.
They kept on arguing and I was listening to their cute argument. I also didn't want to marry Lorenzo Morelli because marrying him would be like playing with death and nobody wants that.
The fun part is, there was more ladies who awaited to be Lorenzo's wife but... no one of them could bear him. I guess you shouldn't judge someone with a beautiful face. Even the devil is beautiful and handsome.
