"Your Highness, the princess had arrived in the North." Charles notified. He's one of my most trusted secretary and one of my closest friend.

We've grown up together and also studied together. His only target was to take care of me as a big brother even though I'm older. The Dullén family had been loyal to the Royalty since centuries so I doubt Charles will ever betray me.

"Do I need a reason to know that?" I raised my brow. What good will even come for me if I go to pick her up from the sea port. If she could travel from South to North, she can come here by herself. It's not like I'm leaving her alone, the carriage has been sent for her so she can safely arrive.

"She's your wife, Your Highness." Charles sighed.

"Tell me, Charles. What would you do if you cannot marry the person you love instead you marry someone for political issues?" I asked for an advice because I can trust him with these.

"It is indeed a hard question. But to be frank, I've never fell in love, Your Highness. So I wouldn't know the real meaning of heart break." He gave me his prince like smile.

"But you still attract the ladies, do you not? No one caught your attention?" I asked getting a bit curious.

"Looking at ladies isn't the job I've prepared myself for. It is my duty to protect you and I don't plan to fall in love." He directly said.

Tough guy. "So you will never get married?" I asked. "The question is a little personal but have you never thought of Fiona?"

His eyes widened, "What are you saying, Your Highness! How could I do such a terrible mistake!" He got frustrated. "And Lady Fiona isn't my type to begin with."

"Not that I would let you approach her but she's beautiful isn't she?" My heart relaxed at the mention of her. "The way she speaks, the way she smiles and the way she talks.

I see Charles staring at me like I'm some kind of nuisance. "Sometimes beauty isn't everything Your Highness. A lady should have a responsibility and a manner in her." He said.

"Are you saying Fiona doesn't have it?" I glared at him.

He shook his head, "Lady Fiona is indeed a sweet person but she doesn't have the potential to become an Empress and you also know it. She seems like the type of person who will faint if she sees any blood whereas an Empress has to endure a great pain in their life even if it costs their life." Charles explained it do clearly that I, myself also agree with it.

Fiona is a free bird who deserves to keep flying until she gets tired. Who am I to keep her hostage? How could I be so cruel to the person I love the most?

"It is also an ill-mannered behaviour for you to not pick Princess Armana up. As her legal husband, you should." He said.

"I'm afraid I cannot do that. Just the glimpse of her makes my blood boil. I can't hold the urge to snap her head off!" I groaned.

Charles eyes widened, "Princess Armana is indeed known for her cruel, greediness behaviour. I guess this behaviour of yours will suit her best. I still don't understand why did His Majesty made such a proposal?" He sighed.

"Neither do I." I mumbled. "I plan to divorce her though.

"W-What?" Charles stammered.

"I cannot be with someone like that for the rest pf my life!" I groaned. "Just thinking about it makes me want to start a war."

He sighed, "As the Crown Prince, you know what's best. I won't argue with you about that anymore. I shall take my leave."

"Where are you going?" I raised my brow.

"His Majesty had told both of us to pick her up from the sea port but looks like only I have to go." He sighed, "Well, you torture me alot and I don't get paid enough." He made a crying face which made me scoff.

What's the point of having a princess from the South when her personality is shit. Why did I have to sacrifice my own happiness for the country?
