It had been a week since Rick was shot and he wasn't showing any sign of waking up anytime soon. Bonnie was in her house, just looking through photos and videos of Rick when they were younger. It was interrupted by the sound of someone frantically knocking on her front door. She went over and opened it, only to see Shane. He rushed in and went into her kitchen.
He got some canned food and bottles of water packed into a box. Bonnie was confused by his actions. "Shane, What's happening?" She asked as he continued to pack. "There was this virus going around and making people crazy. I saw it with my own eyes, Bonnie. You can't stay here, We have to go, right now." He explained as he walked out to his car with Bonnie following close behind. He placed the stuff in his car and got in. Bonnie got in alongside him and saw Lori and Carl in the back.
"Where's Rick?" She asked as she looked around. It was silent for a little bit before Shane spoke. "He's gone, Bonnie. I'm sorry. I put my ear up to his chest and I couldn't hear anything. . . I'm sorry, Bonnie." Shane said as he drove off. Bonnie was silent for a little bit, thinking that her only brother, the man she grew up with was actually gone. She looked out the window as tears streamed down her face and all she could think about was Rick.
At least, she still had Shane, Lori, and Carl. That's what mattered to her. At least, she still had some of the people she cared most about here and she was gonna do anything in her power to make sure it stayed like that whether it meant losing everything.
