It had been at least a week since this whole mess started and they had all already started a little camp of survivors. They had become a tight-knit community of survivors. It was like their own little town that functioned well. Bonnie was still trying to adjust to the loss of her brother and so were Shane, Lori, and Carl. She was a bit quieter now and spent most of her time with Carl, just talking about the times when she and Rick used to be children.
Most of them had changed. Most were the carefree type and then becoming more cautious of others, but now they had to stick together if they wanted to live through this disaster. One day, Bonnie was out, just washing clothes with some of the other some of the other survivors when she noticed that Shane was missing. She finished washing the clothes hung them up to dry and walked around, looking for him.
Meanwhile With Shane
Lori had taken Shane to a secluded area. "So, You wanted to talk to me about something?" Shane asked as he turned to Lori, but she had this look in her eyes: a lustful look, one of desire. "I did. Let's not talk too much Shane, We both know what this is about." Lori said as she inched closer to Shane him looking at her with a confused look. "No, I don't know what this is about," Shane said as he backed away from Lori.
Lori chuckled at his response. "Oh please, Stop being coy Shane. I've seen the way you looked at me. We can both help each other out if you just let me." Lori said seductively. Shane wasn't going to have it. His heart was with one person and one person only and that was Bonnie. "Look, Lori, You're lovely and all, but we can't do this right now. Not now, not ever." Shane said as Lori rolled her eyes. She backed him up against a tree and kissed him.
Shane was caught off guard and quickly pushed her off. "What the hell are you doing?" He said as he looked at her in shock. Lori was both frustrated and disappointed. Frustrated that her advances hadn't worked and disappointed that Shane didn't reciprocate her feelings for her. "What does it look like?" Lori said as Shane wiped his mouth. "Look, You're a wonderful woman and I can't deny that you are very beautiful too, but I just don't feel the same for you," Shane explained as Lori huffed.
"It's her, isn't it?" Lori said as she looked away and Shane looked down. "Yeah. . .It's her," Shane said as Lori scoffed and walked away. He stood there, thinking of what just occurred between him and Lori, His own best friend's wife tried to get with him.
Back with Bonnie
Bonnie was walking around the forest and calling out for Shane. She was walking when she heard footsteps and turned, only to see Lori. "Oh hey Lori, Have you seen Shane-" She didn't get an answer, but instead Lori bumped her with her shoulder and walked off without answering. "Okay, Rude," Bonnie said as she kept walking until she saw Shane. She smiled as she approached him.
"Hey Shane," Bonnie said as Shane flinched a little. She noticed that and tilted her head. "Shane, What's wrong?" She asked as Shane cleared his throat. "Bon, If I tell you this, You won't be mad. . .Right?" He asked as Bonnie got a little bit confused and worried. "Okay, Now you're kind of scaring me, Shane," Bonnie said. "Just promise me you won't be mad." He said as he reached out and held her hand.
"I promise, now just tell me," Bonnie said as Shane took a deep breath. "It's about Lori. . .She just came onto me, Bonnie, but I said no. I swear, It was just a kiss, and nothing else happened and I got her off as fast as I could." Shane explained as Bonnie just stood there and listened. When he was done, She spoke. "Shane. . .I'm not mad at either of you guys. I'm glad you were honest with me." Bonnie said as Shane was relieved about her reaction.
Bonnie was not mad at Shane, but a felt a little bit of disappointment towards Lori. She did feel bad for Lori because she had lost Rick, her husband, but Bonnie had also lost Rick, her brother. She wasn't going to confront Lori about it, but instead just continued the day as usual. Lori had become more distant towards Bonnie as a result of what happened earlier and Shane's feelings for Bonnie.
Bonnie was a bit annoyed and disappointed with Lori's behavior, but she couldn't just let this affect her. She just wanted to live as normally as possible, but seeing the things that had happened in the past week, that might not be possible.
