『 Like Old Times 』
April 3rd 2018 Ruby went to her grandma's in Manhattan, Kyle went to some comic convention, George was at a soccer camp and Maya wasn't coming back from Philly for 2 more days, so Kate and Alex were able to hang out just themselves for the first time that year. They had both missed hanging out with their best friend but there was stuff going on in both of their lives that prevented them from hanging out like they used to.
They decided to go get ice cream for old times sake in their local ice cream parlour. As per usual Kate got strawberry and Alex got mint chocolate chip and vanilla.
"I really missed hanging out, just the two of us." Kate said as she licked her ice cream.
"Me too." Alex replied as he took a spoonful of ice cream.
"We should try make more time to do this." Kate suggested.
"Definitely. I'd really like that."
"Aw did you miss me?" Kate teased.
Alex rolled his eyes, "I sure did, Katie."
"I knew it! How could you not miss this?" Kate gestured to herself and smiled widely.
"Classic Kate, always being extra." Alex laughed.
"That's why you love me."
"It is."

April 9th 2018 That weekend Alex and Kate managed to find time to hang out by themselves. They decided to go bowling, which they haven't done since they were 10.
They went up, paid, got their bowling shoes and then went to their lane. When they got to the lane, Kate's went first because she really wanted to go first and Alex didn't mind.
Kate's first turn was 2 pins then 5 and Alex got 3 and 5 pins. It was a very close game, at some points Kate was winning and others It was Alex but in the end Alex won. Kate didn't mind that she lost. She only cared about games she was extremely good at like Monopoly and Clue. Alex was better bowling at card games and chess.
After they left the bowling they decided to go to McDonalds. Alex got a veggie burger, coke and an apple pie and Kate got a cheeseburger, mozzarella dippers and a water.
"This is nice. You know I'm having a great time with you lately."
"I am too. This is like when we were younger."
"Just like old times." Kate smiled.
