『 Summer Begins 』
June 11th 2018 Alex had a soccer match against another school but this time it was at the other school, so the soccer team left the school at 10:00. The match started at 10:45 and they arrived at 10:30.
Kate was disappointed because she wanted to cheer Alex on, but then again, she never really cared much about soccer.
Alex's team came back to school at 12:20. It was their first loss in a while but they were handling it well.
When Alex went to his first class he had with Kate after the match, he happened to be her partner. Kate gave him a big hug.
"What was that for?" Alex asked as he slowly hugged back.
"You lost the game."
"Yeah, but I don't really care."
"You sure?"
"Katie, it's fine honestly, it's not the big of a deal anyway."
"That's good." Kate smiled
"It's just a silly game that's all."
"I know."
"Now you better get back to writing your poem."
"Yes 'dad'."
"That was unnecessary."
"Oh but it was." Kate smirked and Alex just looked away and focused on his poem.

June 16th 2018 "You want to try what?" Kate's mother asked.
"Fencing, I want to do fencing." Kate replied very sure of what she wanted.
"Why would you want to do that?"
"It looks fun. I saw it in a movie."
"What happened to archery?"
"I can still do both, can't I?"
"Yeah but- oh whatever. You know your mom isn't going to let you do fencing. There's no chance."
"I can be very persuasive."
"Right, well, good luck."
"Thanks."

It was their last day of freshman year and the Phantoms went to George's house to celebrate. His dad had gotten a small cake and a lot of chocolate.
They all decided to play Just Dance. They did 2 dances for 3 players. Maya, Ruby and Kate went first, then Alex, Kyle and George.
Then they played twister and Maya won. Kate and Alex were really bad at twister and were the first 2 people out and they kept laughing through the entire game as the others struggled.
Overall they had a great time. They had many laughs and made many jokes. They looked back at photos from throughout the year and reminisced and they all shared their own memories they found particularly amusing.
Kate mentioned the time Alex fell into lake and Alex's cheeks flushed and he put his face in his hands. Kyle talked about the first time he has class with Maya and they bonded quickly with dark humour. George shared how on the first day of soccer practice he thought Alex was there to was help out the soccer team and had old him to get a water bottle for him.
Maya talked about how even though her and Ruby are so different they get along very well and hang out and talk a lot. Alex talked about how he was intimidated by Kyle's intelligence when he first met him. Ruby talked about Kate and how she found it hilarious that she didn't realise she was flirting back at her.

June 24th 2018 Alex wanted to go see Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and asked the other if they wanted to go. They all decided to go see it on Friday after school.
Alex's interest in the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies started when he watched the first Jurassic Park for fun one day and he thought it was really good.
When Alex got to the movie theatre, Kyle, Maya and George were there early.
"Hope you weren't waiting too long."
"I just got here like 10 minutes again."
"I literally came just before you, Alex." George added.
"Yeah I had to come early, I was here like 25 minutes ago." Maya says nonchalantly.
Just then Ruby and Kate came together laughing, "Oh, Hi guys. Hope we aren't late." Kate said as she saw the others and stopped laughing.
"No it's ok." Said George.
"I've been her for 25 minutes." Maya answered again.
"Yeah, Maya we know. You said that like 2 minutes ago." Kyle turned to Maya.
"Well are you guys retiring go in then?" Ruby asked.
They all said yes and went in and bought their snacks and tickets.
George was sat at one end, Maya next to him, then Kate, then Kyle, then Alex, then Ruby. At the beginning of the trailers was showing, Ruby asked Maya to swap seats and Maya agreed. Ruby was happy to sit next to her girlfriend.
At one point during the movie Alex had gotten to warm and took off his hoodie and Kate had turned (for some reason) and seen him. She thought he looked really good lit up by the screen and she thought it was cute how engrossed in this movie he was. He watched tentatively as he munched on his M&Ms and she had stared a little too long.
Kate tried to push that thought away. 'What is happening?' she thought to herself. She went to grab some popcorn but accidentally spilled it all over Ruby.
"Shit, I'm sorry." She whispered.
"It's ok." Ruby whispered back as she wiped the popcorn off of her skirt and onto the floor.
Kate gave her a small hug from the side, "What was that for?" Ruby asked but she enjoyed it.
"Oh, sorry." Kate said quietly as she moved away.
"No, it's ok, I like it." Ruby reassured her as she rested her head on Kate's shoulder.
